WARNING: OTOGI / TRISTAN LIME!
Note: The misspellings in Aten’s note were intentional, by the way. Written English is still hard for him.
Lady Elfskye: Thanks for the vibes.
We’re all gonna need it.
Broken Time: Oh, he would.
He would.
anubiset: Aten will chicken out of it. He won’t be hurt.
I Is Me: *sweatdrop* eep…..*runs away and hides*
Tari Helyanwe:
He chickens out, but calls the one person who could help him.
Valea: No, nobody has seen Vinnie before. Vinnie’s new to all this. Sorry about forgetting the
answer. In consolation…*hands Aten plushie*
Pharaoh Yamis Princess: Yes, he is thinking of doing what you
think he is going to do. *evil grin*
Kat: The ‘mystery man’
or ‘Dominic’ will be revealed later after the kids are returned.
Caterfree: Aten won’t succeed, so don’t worry.
Uke Io and Uke Kit: *evil grin* It sounds like I’m in trouble..uh-oh.
*hides*
Shadow of Light: Well, I got up to chappie 10 written, so
I’ve got some running space. Don’t say anything about the stranger now. He will be revealed later.
It’s Come To This.
Joey stepped into the Dining Hall and found Mokuba and Jeanie
having breakfast together.
“Good morning, Joey,” Jeanie said with a smile.
The blond sat down to his breakfast of French Toast. “You two
better keep your ‘extracurricular activities’ to a low key. It’s a good thing Seto didn’t pass your
bedroom last night.”
Mokuba blushed. “Sorry, Joey. I guess I got carried away.”
Jeanie grinned devilishly. Joey saw that evil grin only on
Marik when he was up to no good. “I KNOW
you got carried away…..you beast!”
“If Seto finds out you two are doing this behind his back,
he’s going to flip.”
“I’m 20 years old, Joey!
Besides, we always use protection.”
“What if it breaks?
Huh? Smart
guy?”
Mokuba crossed his arms. “I knew you and my big brother were
sleeping together since you both were fifteen.
Don’t go there!”
“Yes, but I could not get Seto pregnant even if I tried!”
Jeanie pat Joey’s hand. “Don’t
worry, Joey. I won’t get pregnant.”
Joey was about to speak when Serenity walked in. “Morning,
sis.”
“Joey? I was
wondering. Do you know where Tristan
lives?”
Joey cut up his breakfast. “He lives at the Crestwood
Apartments down the street from Ryou and Bakura. Why?”
Serenity brushed her hair back as the cook brought out a
small stack of pancakes. “I wanted to
see what he’s been doing with himself lately.”
“He’s most likely at his motorcycle shop.”
“He owns his own business?”
Joey nodded and took a big bite of his French Toast. “Yeah. It’s downtown in our
old neighborhood. Asher can take you
there. He knows that area very well.”
“How long has he had it?”
“Almost ten years,” Mokuba said, biting into his fruit
cocktail.
“I can’t wait to see him again!”
Serenity ate her breakfast. ‘I can see him now…begging me to
take him back! I bet he misses me! He’ll be so happy to see me!’
Mokuba looked up at Serenity. “Do you smoke?”
“No.”
“Good. One thing with Asher: Don’t give him a lighter or a
match. He asked one guy for a lighter
and before you knew it, almost a quarter of the city was in flames.”
Serenity’s jaw dropped. “I can’t ride with him.”
“Asher’s fine as long as you don’t show him a flame or give
him something to light something on fire. He’s really good with the kids.”
Suddenly, the trip to Tristan’s shop seemed more dangerous
than she cared to imagine.
***************************
“See that building? I didn’t like the owner. So, I torched it.” Asher drove the limousine
proudly showing her the blackened and smoldering ruins of buildings that he had
recently torched.
“See that building? I
didn’t like the color of the paint…….so I torched it,” Asher grinned, pointing
to the burned remains of a small building.
“See that building? It
looked at me crooked. So, I torched it.”
Serenity sat tensed in the back seat, afraid to make eye
contact with Asher through the rear-view mirror.
“That building there?
It was there. So, I torched it.”
Serenity took a deep breath. “How much longer until we are at
Tristan’s shop?”
Asher laughed. “Oh! I forgot I had to take you there! And
this whole time I’ve been showing you all of the pretty little buildings I’ve
burned to the ground! How
rude of me!”
Serenity clung to the seat desperately. ‘Tristan had better be thrilled to see
me! I’m riding in a car with a psycho!’
Asher arrived and opened the door for her. She stepped into
the motorcycle shop and found Tristan surrounded by the salesmen and Otogi.
“Congratulations, Tristan!
Are you two going on a honeymoon?”
“We have our businesses. We can’t just up and go.”
“Tristan?”
The group stopped and Tristan gasped.
“Serenity?! What…what…what are you doing here?”
Serenity walked up to Tristan. “Is that the ‘hello’ I get after so long?”
Tristan crossed his arms and Serenity saw a wedding band on
his finger. “Tristan Alexander Taylor! Did you get married?”
Otogi and Tristan shot glances at each other.
“Yes. I did get married.”
Serenity crossed her arms like Tristan. “I hope I can meet your wife some day.”
Tristan raised his eyebrow at Otogi. “Sure. You can meet my
wife. Come over for dinner tonight. My….uh…wife….cooks a great meatloaf casserole.”
“Who did you marry? Do I know her?”
Tristan laughed. ‘You’re looking at him,’ Tristan thought.
“Sure,
Serenity. We’d love to have you
over. Come over for dinner. You won’t be disappointed.”
Otogi shook his head. Serenity was in for the shock of her
life.
***************************
Serenity knocked on Tristan’s door. Tristan opened it with a devilish smile.
“Oh, hello, Serenity.
Did you have trouble finding the place?”
Serenity gave a shudder. “Kaiba surrounds himself with people
who are creepy.”
“Asher drove you again?”
“That man needs help. Badly.”
Tristan shrugged. “Asher’s a good guy. You just have to get used to him,
Serenity. Come on in.”
“I do not wish to ‘get used to him,’ Tristan. I see Kaiba
hasn’t changed at all.”
Tristan shut the door behind them. “Kaiba isn’t a bad guy,
Serenity.”
“He hated all of us during
Serenity looked around at the living room. Doilies and lacy
curtains decorated the room. Scented
candles in a flowery centerpiece were placed on the coffee table.
Two dueling decks were on the entertainment center in plastic
containers.
“You and your wife duel, Tristan?”
“Uh….wife….yes.
We duel.”
Serenity crossed her arms. “Where is she?”
Otogi popped his head out of the kitchen. “Dinner’s almost
done! My buns are cooling now!”
“Okay, baby.”
Serenity gasped. “Your wife would be horrified if she heard
you calling Otogi ‘baby’!”
Tristan scratched his head. How dense was Serenity anyway?
“Serenity, Otogi is my husband.”
Serenity’s jaw dropped. “Say what?!”
“I married Otogi this morning. We went to the Justice of the Peace. We didn’t want anything big.”
“You told me you had a wife!”
“You never gave me a chance to explain. Serenity.”
Serenity crossed her arms. “Well? Explain yourself.”
Tristan growled and narrowed his eyes. “I told you I loved
Otogi ten years ago. You dumped me
because of him. You couldn’t accept me
for who I was. It took me a long time to admit my love for him. I finally did and we got together about eight
years ago.”
Serenity rolled her eyes. “So, you’re just like everybody
else!”
Otogi stepped out of the kitchen. “Serenity! So nice to see you again!” The Dice Master took Serenity by the wrist.
“Dinner’s ready! Hurry up before it gets cold!”
Before Serenity could protest, Otogi had her in the kitchen,
sitting in a seat.
Tristan sat at the table as Otogi brought over warm buns.
“They’re handmade buns, Serenity! I made them myself from
scratch. Took me all afternoon to get the recipe just right.”
Serenity watched as Otogi scooped some of the casserole onto
a plate. Otogi put a roll on her plate.
“There you go, Serenity. I hope you enjoy it. This is one of Tris’ favorite meals.”
“You know I like meat, Otogi,” Tristan said with a grin and a
wink.
Otogi giggled. “Do I know it!” Otogi put a heaping helping on Tristan’s
plate and gave him two buns placed strategically next to each other.
“Thank you, lover,” Tristan said as Otogi handed him his
plate. Tristan placed a kiss on Otogi’s cheek.
Otogi kissed his new husband back in return.
Otogi sat between Serenity and Tristan. “So, what have you
been doing with yourself all these years, Serenity?”
“Living with my mom.
Otogi?
What do you think of Kaiba?”
Otogi bit into his bun. “Me?
I think he’s a very handsome man.
I just ADORE what he’s done with his library! He put these new drapes in that are to die
for! What he needs to do is replace the
horrid green material on that couch.
It’s a fashion nightmare!”
“No, what do you think of him personally?”
Otogi scooped some of his casserole into his mouth.
“Well. I think he needs to take up Yoga
or Tai Chi. That man is tighter than a virgin at an orgy.”
Serenity coughed and started choking on her dinner.
“Oh my!
Oh, no! Serenity, I’m so sorry!
You’re choking on my meat!”
Tristan moved behind Serenity and pat
her back. Serenity coughed up a chunk of
meat.
“Serenity, did you put too much of my meat into your mouth?”
Tristan returned to his seat with a snicker. “I don’t mind having too much of your meat in
my mouth.” The brunet turned to Otogi
and licked his lips.
Serenity coughed and cleared her throat.
Otogi smiled. “Tristan, I know you like my meat.”
“I love your meat….pussycat.”
“I know I can’t get enough of your meat.”
“Excuse us, Serenity.”
Tristan reached over and grabbed Otogi. He pulled the Dice
Master on his lap.
“I love you, Otogi,” Tristan watched Serenity’s face turn
redder and redder.
Otogi straddled Tristan’s hips and buried his face in
Tristan’s neck. Otogi kissed Tristan’s
neck, sucking on it hungrily. He grinded himself on Tristan’s hips.
Tristan grinned at Serenity over Otogi’s shoulder. ‘You hated the fact that I loved Otogi! You were hoping I was still waiting around
for you! Guess what, Sugar? I’m not,’
Tristan thought as he smiled at Serenity.
Serenity stood up. “I don’t know what is worse! Your rudeness or the food!”
Otogi was ignoring Serenity as his hands and lips were busy
on Tristan’s body. His hands plunged
between them to stroke his new husband’s familiar bulge. His lips were busy sucking on Tristan’s neck
desperately.
“I’m leaving, Tristan!
Maybe we can talk alone when your WIFE can keep his hands off of you!”
“Okay, Serenity! Bye!”
Their apartment door slammed shut as Serenity left.
Otogi and Tristan laughed after the door slammed shut.
“I knew she’d be upset when I did that,” Tristan chuckled.
“It seems like she wants you back again,” Otogi said.
Tristan shook her head. “She can’t have me.” The brunet
tilted the raven-haired man’s chin up.
“I’m yours.”
Otogi possessed Tristan’s lips hungrily, continuing to grind
himself onto his husband’s arousal.
“What do we do with dinner?”
“We’ll clean it up afterwards.”
Tristan gasped as Otogi tore open his shirt. “We never finish our dinner, Otogi.”
Otogi kissed down Tristan’s body and kneeled on the floor in
front of him. Otogi struggled with
Tristan’s belt.
“This is why we have so many leftovers, Otogi,” Tristan said
as his zipper was pulled down.
Otogi freed Tristan’s length from its confinement. “Do you want me to stop?”
Tristan looked down at the green-eyed man between his legs.
“I can never say no to you, baby.”
“Thought so,” Otogi said, swallowing around his husband’s
erection.
Tristan buried his fingers in the black, silky hair of his
new husband.
“Baby….gods, you do that so well.”
The Dice Master smiled. “I’ve only just begun.”
***************************
Charlie and Vinnie staked out the
neighborhood where their prey lived.
Vinnie smiled out the window when he saw
Miranda in the garden. Her son was
helping her dig in the soil.
The boy looked just like his mother.
“He could have been my son,” Vinnie
growled angrily.
Charlie pat Vinnie
on the back. “He will be, Vinnie. All you need to do is kill his parents. Once his parents are dead, no one can take
him away from you.”
“Kill Miranda.
I should have killed that little whore years ago. I thought when I pushed her down the stairs
while she was pregnant that it would kill her. No. It only managed to kill the
kid.”
“Did you love her?” the stranger asked.
Vinnie shrugged. “She was a good fuck. What
can I say? But now she has a son and a
husband. Soon, that kid will be mine!”
The group watched as Aten walked to the mother and son. The
son hugged Aten tightly and kissed him on the forehead.
“Awww….ain’t
that sweet?” Vinnie snorted in disgust.
Charlie held up his hands. “That could be used to our
advantage, Vin.
The fact that these two can do that will make our business much more
profitable.”
“Who wants to see a couple of twelve year old boys kiss?”
Charlie chuckled. “You’d be surprised what people would pay
for. I’ve had guys pay me five thousand
dollars just to watch Hayden and I kissing for half an
hour. People will pay for anything.”
Dominic narrowed his eyes. “Those two have always been
close. In the schoolyard, around town,
they are always holding onto each other.”
Charlie rubbed his
chin deep in thought. Hayden could fetch
him a small fortune. Having three boys involved in his ‘business’ would fetch
him a greater fortune!
But he couldn’t have anything done to the boys until their
parents were eliminated.
“Hey,” Charlie said, “once we have all three of those kids,
we can watch the cash roll in, boys.”
“How do you suppose we get these kids to come willingly?”
Charlie reached into his shirt and pat
his pocket. “I got addicted to this
stuff in the slammer. It’s just what we
need to get the kids not to struggle with us.”
“What is it?” the stranger asked.
“I have it all ready, man. Don’t you worry.”
“Come on, Charlie!
Tell us what it is.”
Charlie removed a container and opened it up. “Heroin. It will keep
them calm and make it easier to get them into our car.”
The stranger narrowed his eyes. “That might hurt Aten. He’s
dying from heart failure.”
Charlie shrugged. “He doesn’t look like it will take him a
high dose to be restrained. The other
boy looks like it will take him a moderate dose to get him sedated.”
Vinnie looked back at Miranda in the garden.
“I’ll be coming for you, Miranda-doll.
I’ll get you back for leaving me!
I’m going to take the one thing that matters most to you in the world.”
***************************
Hayden grabbed a book and went into the library to read. He walked in and found Seto and Joey cuddled
up on the couch looking into the blazing fire in the fireplace.
“Oh. Sorry.”
Seto turned. “Hayden!
Come in here, buddy!”
Hayden shifted uncomfortably and walked to his fathers.
“Yes?”
“What do you think we should serve at the reception?”
Hayden’s green eyes wandered to the arms wrapped around Joey.
“Umm….I don’t know.”
Joey raised an eyebrow. “Hayden? Are you okay?”
“Umm…Yes?”
“What’s the problem?”
Hayden looked away. “Nothing.”
“Hayden, has my sister been talking to you?” Joey asked. “Tell me honestly.”
Hayden bit his lip. “No.
She took me out to the movies today and we had a lot of fun.”
Seto blinked. “Are you uncomfortable with me holding daddy,
Hayden?”
Hayden shrugged. “A little.”
“Why? You’ve never
were bothered before.”
The boy shrugged again. “I don’t know. It just seems kinda…creepy.”
Joey could feel Seto’s frustration growing slowly. “I love Seto.
Why is it so creepy?”
“I don’t know, daddy, it just is.”
Seto gripped onto Joey tightly. “Hayden, what do you think of
Joey and I getting married?”
Hayden shrugged. “Fine with me, I guess.”
Joey pat Seto’s hand reassuringly.
“What do you think we should serve?”
“I don’t know. Cookies?”
“What kind?”
“Chocolate chip?”
Seto ran his hand through his hair. “Surprisingly, Karl makes
good cookies. If I ask him, maybe he’d
make a batch for the reception.
I’m afraid to ask Asher to make anything. It would probably
end up burned.”
“Maxine has offered to make the cake for you.”
Seto chuckled. “I told her not to steal the ingredients. I
told her I’d let her use the ingredients as a write-off on her taxes.”
“Can you do that?”
Seto shrugged. “I’m Seto Kaiba. I’ll find a way to make it
work, even if it isn’t one hundred percent legal. I always do.”
Hayden shrugged. “Well, you can never go wrong with chips and
dip, either.”
Joey licked his lips. “Oh, hell yeah!
ONION DIP, BABY!”
Seto rolled his eyes. “Onion?”
Joey chuckled. “What? Don’t want to kiss me after I’ve had
onion dip? Afraid I’ll have stinky breath?”
Seto sighed. “I give up.”
Hayden shifted uncomfortably again. “I’d better go.”
Joey looked up. “Thanks for your input, Hayden. You and I are going to watch the Indy 500
tomorrow?”
Hayden fidgeted nervously. “Yeah. If you wanna watch it, it’s on at two. I was going to go and get some snacks in the
morning.”
Seto handed Hayden some money from the table drawer. “Have one of the “Public Relations” people
drive you to the store.
Jay could drive you
there. He doesn’t have anyone to eliminate…..I mean, he doesn’t have anything
to do.”
Hayden shifted uncomfortably. Jay and Karl were
a couple. They were the only two people in the ‘Public Relations Department’
who were openly gay. Seto hardly if ever
put them together on an assignment. The
last thing Seto wanted was the couple injured together or worse.
“I’d rather walk.”
Joey looked hesitant. “Hayden, are you sure?”
“Fine.
I’ll bring Trevor with me. Will
that make you feel better?”
“I just want you to be safe, Hayden.”
Hayden crossed his arms. “I can take care of myself. I’m
thirteen years old. This year I’m going
to be fourteen. I don’t need
bodyguards.”
Seto snorted. “Oh, really? What about that car bombing last month? I lost my best limousine in that car
bombing. It’s a good thing all of my men
were with me. Otherwise, I’d have lost
Donny and Karl. Asher spent the entire
day looking at the inferno.”
Joey laughed. “Serenity swears there is something wrong with
him.”
“Do you think I would have hired him if he were any different?
Fine, Hayden. Take Trevor with you.”
Hayden sighed in defeat. “Fine. I’ll
take Trevor with me.”
“It’s for your own good, Hayden.”
Hayden lowered his head. “Okay.”
Hayden left the library, grumbling under his breath. “I’m not a baby anymore! I don’t need a body
guard.”
***************************
Aten sat at his desk, tears pouring down his cheeks. He read over the letter again, making sure
that what he wanted to say was there.
[Dear Mother and Father.
I am sorry
it has come to this. The Anshent Egiptshins thought that su-icide was a humain way to eskape intolerable kondit-shions.
I can’t live with the thoughts of my grandfather anymore.
I feel gill-ty. I am to blame for everything. I never asked to be tutched. My grandfather was a mean, cruel, sadistic
man! He enjoyed me like I was nothing
but a toy to him!
He enjoyed me. He raped me. He took everything from me.
And now, the memories and the nightmares are all I have.
I cannot live with the memories of what he has done to me.
Every morning, it wakes me up. Every night it haunts my dreams.
I prayed to Ra to make it stop.
But it hasn’t.
Last night’s dream was too real. I scared everyone.
I can’t do this anymore.
I refuse to put you all threw that again.
Because of my grandfather, I can never have a normal
life. Who will accept someone who has
been used like I have?
Robbie.
Will Robbie accept me?
Will Robbie love me?
I couldn’t take Robbie’s rejektion.
I’m sorry, Robbie. I hope you unnerstand.
I wanted us to be friends forever.
I’m going to miss you, Robbie.
I’m sorry.
I’m very sorry for doing this.
If it is of any consolashion, my
heart failure would have killed me anyway.
I don’t want to die painfully of this.
I’d rather die peacefully, knowing I caused my own death.
Mother, I know this will make you cry. Deeply sorry.
Father, I love you. Mother, I love you. Aria….I love you, too.
Robbie……I….I love you.
Goodbye. Forever.
Aten Bakari
Ishtar Ibn Marik.]
Aten folded the paper and put it in an envelope. He arranged
his stuffed monkey plushies on his bed and made
certain his paintings were arranged so Joey could finish the ones which were
not done.
Even his unfinished paintings would give his family tons of
money.
Aten grabbed some change from his money jar. He had to call
Dr. Chapman and let him know that he wouldn’t be seeing him again.
He knew there was a payphone down the street around Tristan’s
apartment complex.
He opened his door slowly and listened. The only sound in the house was of Marik and
Malik’s nightly lovemaking ritual.
Aten sneaked out of his room and walked carefully down the
stairs. He crept to the kitchen and grabbed his bottle of Captopril
pills. He also grabbed a small kitchen
knife with a serrated blade.
“This is if the pills don’t work.”
Aten put his suicide note by the coffee pot, knowing his
mother or Malik would find the note in the morning.
He looked up the stairs. “Goodbye.”
Aten opened the front door and ran into the night.
