**Remember, readers, this story was all Ryou’s dream. I
wanted to repeat that in case some people had forgotten.
I Will Always Forgive You
Bakura’s POV
One minute I was in my body, the next I find myself in a
room. It looked just like my jail cell. Oh no! I’m back in my cell!
There was a cot in the corner which wasn’t there before and a
candle. On the wall I saw a door that
hadn’t been there before.
I opened it up and a wave of cold hit me. I walked through the door and there was a
thick purple haze.
It was cold.
“BAKURA!!!!” I heard a voice shout. “WHERE ARE YOU??!!!”
“MARIK! MARIK, WHERE ARE YOU?!” I screamed
out.
Where is he? It’s cold! I’m alone! I need him! Marik! Help!
I’m alone!
I fell to my knees. Alone. Again. I no longer
have my lover by my side. In the Underworld, I was happy and content. I had his
arms to keep me warm. I had his touch to keep me happy.
Now after two years, I have lost him again.
All I wanted was him.
Now. He’s gone.
Marik…….please find me.
“BAKURA!!!!” I hear again.
Please, gods, find me. Marik, don’t let me be alone again! I
beg you!
I stand up and began my eternal search to find my lost lover
in this cold, dark, and lonely landscape.
Marik’s POV
The searing pain running through my body stopped. When I
opened my eyes, I was in a large room. A single bed was in the center of the
room. Torches were lit around the corners of the spacious room. I’ve never seen a room like this before. I
found a door on the ground. I opened it up and stairs lead down to a place
where a cold air hit my face.
I cautiously went down the stairs and became surrounded by cold.
The door shut behind me and I looked around throught
he purple haze.
Nothing surrounded me. I was alone.
Not again.
I didn’t like being alone.
“MARIK!!!!” I hear Bakura screaming for me in panic.
“BAKURA! BAKURA!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!” I cried out in response.
I ran through the purple haze looking for him. Please, Itemri!
Don’t leave me! I waited so long to bring you into my arms!
I lost you so quickly!
I never wanted to lose you, Itemri.
I love you. I need you beside me! I cannot live without you! I’m going to continue to look for you, Bakura!
Don’t leave me.
Don’t lose me.
Don’t forget me.

In Yami and Yugi’s house……..
Ryou woke up from the dream, sweating an
panting. Yugi rushed to Ryou’s side.
“Ryou! You were having some dream! Are you okay?”
Ryou looked up at Yami, who wore a mask of concern on his
face.
Ryou brushed the sweat from his forehead. “I dreamed about
Bakura….the past….I saw him rob! I saw
Yami trying to gather the Millennium Items!
I saw Bakura’s life in the past! I saw how he died!”
Yami shook his head. “You just had a dream, Ryou. It wasn’t
anything more than a dream.”
Ryou sighed. ‘Dream or not, I understand why my yami is the
way he is. He had such a hard life. He
had someone he loved and he lost her. He
died a terrible death after two years of inexplicable torture. I see why my yami behaves like he does.”
Yami shook his head and took Ryou’s hand. “It was just a
dream, Ryou. Dreams aren’t real.”
Ryou looked into the purple eyes of the former pharaoh. “Yes
it was. It felt real.”
Yugi ran his hands through Ryou’s hair. “Ryou, just relax.
You’ll feel better in the morning.”
Ryou shook his head. “No. I have to return to my yami.”
Yugi and Yami’s eyes widened and their jaw dropped. “Ryou,
you can’t be serious!”
Ryou nodded. “I am serious,” he said standing.
“Ryou, Bakura will kill you if you return home!”
Ryou lowered his head. “I have to return to my yami. My place
is by his side. I am his hikari.”
“Ryou, he beat you.”
Ryou nodded. “I know, Yugi.
Still…..I belong with my yami. Thank you both for taking me in.”
Ryou opened the door as Yugi pleaded.
“Ryou, please reconsider!”
Ryou shook his head. “I can’t abandon Bakura. He’s lost
everything that ever meant anything to him. I cannot let him be alone anymore.
Goodbye.”
Ryou left the Game Shop.

Ryou’s POV
I walked into my house and saw Bakura standing on the steps,
his hair spiky and twitching with fury.
“Where the hell have you been?” he asked furiously.
“Bakura, I’m sorry that happened to you.”
Bakura removed a dagger from his waist. “What are you talking
about?”
“I dreamed…about your past. I’m sorry you lost Rayna, Bakura.
I know she meant a lot to you. You lost
her. You loved her.”
Bakura stepped down the stairs one step at a time. Bakura
grabbed my shirt and pinned me against the door. “How do you know about her,
Ryou?”
“I had a dream. I saw how you died, Bakura. I’m sorry you
lost the only two people you loved in your life.”
Bakura’s eyes glowed red with fury. He backhanded me, sending
me to the ground. “NEVER mention her name in my presence again if you want to
keep your tongue, hikari!”
I lowered my head submissively. “I’m sorry, Bakura. I just
wanted to let you know that I am sorry and I don’t blame you for hating me.”
Bakura gripped my shirt and shook me roughly. “I think I need
to teach you a lesson about running away from me, my little hikari!”
Bakura dragged me upstairs to perform the nightly ritual of
tying me down, leaving me helpless.
I still forgive you, yami.
I will always forgive you.
***I plan to do a side story with Aria and Seth in the future
and their romance.
