Grandstand
A Telstar-like pong machine by Grandstand
The Video Sports Centre is a much more common machine - here is the machine, box, manual, reg card & two carts with boxes & manuals. Endorsed by Big Kev... oops - didn't mean to remind anyone of Euro 2000 :)
A close-up of the sticks & the manual & reg card.
Nice name - bet Atari liked it too! Nice & simple machine - like these door stop designs!
Tidy little machine with a cool logo :)
I was quite shocked when I found this one - what a nice, tiny machine it is! A 'conpact' pong machine - still, not as small as the Optim Sport machine I found on the same day...
Quite a nice machine - and one of the first I've picked up in 2001. Has the 2 built-in controllers that detatch plus a separate rotary controler for the Stunt Cycle game! There are 10 games in this machine: Motor Cross, Enduro, Drag Race, Stunt Cycle, Practice, Squash, Soccer, Tennis, SL target and Moving Target. The machine didn't come with the rifle/gun.
Looks very much like a 3000, only I think nicer. It's an early B&W machine & came out of it's previous owner's loft for the first time in many years when I bought it from him on 13-03-01.
Heres the box & instructions too...
Grandstand 6000 Colour Video Sports Centre
When I first saw this one for sale I wasn't too interested as I thought I already had it, but managed to get it for a couple of pounds so picked it up thinking it might be better than the one I already had....
As you can see, it's very similar in design to myGrandstand 5000 Colour - the one I confused it for. But this one has Joysticks instead of rotary controls and a more standard set of games: Basketball Practice, Practice, Tennis, Basketball, Squash, Hockey, Soccer, Grid Ball, Target Win and Target Practice.
