You Assume too Much

You think you know
what it is I see,
and why it is I am the way that I am.

I am here to tell you;
you are clearly mistaken.
What you think is not what is.

It seems as if you know
what the right words are to say,
but you have no clue.

Never do you let me fully explain
what it is I feel,
and why it is that way.

You assume you know
and you continue to talk,
but you never listen.

Since you have no patience
to hear my words -
I leave you today.

Because I know you really know not
what it is that I need,
nor do you really care to find out.
