The Original Voice of the Tiger Sharks, Kyle Schultz returned to the Tiger Sharks in their third season after serving as the play-by-play voice of the International Hockey League's Turner Cup Championship Utah Grizzlies during the 1995-96 season. Known as the "Father of Hockey Broadcasting" in the South, Schultz's unique sound has sculpted hockey in the minds of the Northern Florida and Southern Georgia fans, and brough a wealth of experience ot the radio/television booth. Schultz broadcast the very first Tiger Sharks game in their history, and has also broadcast the Eastern Indoor Soccer League's Tallahassee Scorpians for the summer of 1997 and 1998. Shultz was named the EISL broadcaster of the year in 1997 and was also named to the East Coast Hockey League's All-Star Broadcast team during the 1997 season, providing the intermission interviews on the league's nationwide broadcast.
Schultz also served as the media arm of the Tiger Sharks, handling public relations, communications, and media relations duties, as well as his broadcasting responsibilities. He hosted the "Tiger Sharks Report" every Sunday morning on WTXL 27, Monday Night Hockey Hour on Sports Radio 1270 AM, and handled all live television broadcasts on Comcast's "Tiger Sharks Quest for the Cup" Game-of-the-Month during the 1996-97 season. Schultz was a seven year member of the Elmore Sports Group. A gradute of the University of Wisconsin - La Cross, Schultz holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance with a Minor in Communications. The Wisconsin native played Division III hockey at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, back in the school's hockey heyday.
