University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) has two campuses in Bangalore and one in Mangalore. An animal sciences campus in Hebbal and a plant sciences campus in GKVK (Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra) comprise the Bangalore campuses while the Mangalore campus is devoted to fisheries sciences. UAS had two additional campuses, one at Dharwad and the other at Bidar which now form an independent university,UAS-Dharwad, making a total of two agricultural universities in Karnataka
