| Cardcaptor Review Cardcaptor is about a 10-year-old girl named Sakura who stumbles upon a magical book, opens it, and releases 52 magical cards. Sakura then comes upon a stuffed animal named Kero who is really the guardian beast of the seal of the Clow Cards, which belonged to a powerful magician named Clow Reed. Kero fell asleep in the book for 30 yrs and has to name Sakura the cardcaptor because she released the cards in the first place. Sakura must set out in town, which is Reedington, and capture all 52 cards with the help of Kero and Sakura's friend Madison, who accidently found out about the cards and is now the costume maker and videotaper of Sakura. After a few captures, a boy comes to town. His name is Li and he is a direct descendant of Clow Reed. Shortly after Li's arrival, his cousin Meilin comes to town and also tries to help out but ends up getting in the way. Li has also come to capture the cards and in the end Sakura and Li work together to capture them all, after a few bumpy disagreements along the way. When the Final Judgement came, which was when this mystical being named Yue who is Julian in real life had to judge who would become the master of the cards, Sakura became the new master and now had a new quest, to transform all the cards. Star Card Season After capturing all the cards, Sakura recieves a new staff with a star on it and then she has to change all the cards to star cards(which are her own colored cards which are pink). A strange boy named Eli and his two guardians Spinner Sun and Ruby Moon.Eli joins Sakura's class to get close to her, and he does, but makes Li very jealous.(If you saw the Japanese version, you'd know why) Eli causes strange occurences so Sakura has to transform the cards. When it came time for Eli to test her, He revealed the truth. He eclipsed the sun and moon causing everyone without magic to fall asleep. The only way to save them was to break the spell by transforming the 8 cards she had left to transform. wehn she did she could'nt transform Light and Dark on her own. Kero(a.k.a.Keroberos) and Yue went in her staff but that still wasn't enough. So Li helps her transform the cards(he helps her to hold the staff).At the very end, Li tells Sakura he loves her.(in the japanese version of course). When Li leaves and goes back to Hong Kong(where he is from), Sakura cries in her room and from her tears came forth "the love" card. Movies There were 2 movies: Cardcaptor Sakura The Movie(in english) and The sealed card(only in japanese)I, miryokuteki, have both. They are both great!
