PalCentral would like to bring your attention to supporting Parkinson's Research Charities. At PalCentral we feel it is right to encourage others to help others in the world with kindness - and that's why i feel most of our members (having being Michael J. Fox fans too - like me, Nikki and Suzi) would be happy to have PalCentral supporting Parkinson's Research - On girland.com I am user Keanu and i have so far had show of support from 70 members between January - August 2005 and that's a lot of support. It's July and the counter still stays the same - but the points for the Michael J. Fox orange fox support pic have gone up sky-high so its shown that more than 70 people are using the fox pic.

If you have time, and wish to help us support Parkinson's Research in the UK too as well as worldwide then please contact me in the forum. I have created a special category especially for the cause and it is going to be really big.

Parkinson's is a neurlogical illness which affects the part of the brain which controls body movement. (Its a disease yes - but i dont like calling it that - illness is more polite and i feel that the word "Disease" offends me as well as others dont you think?)Usually people over 50 get it and it sometimes runs in families - people (Like michael J fox - above with julie warner) can get it under the age of 40 which is called young-onset peakinson's (which is the same - just a way to put that its diagnosed to someone younger than the expected group to get it - someone as young as 18 has been diagnosed with it) there is no cure - and money can help find one by 2009 - but there's not much of it coming in... most of it is going to other charities that have more public awareness like cancer research - if you want to help then you can write into or donate to parkinson's charities in the UK - who knows maybe you've made a really good advert and it can be shown to tvs or on your websites.
