Saturday cont...

Pleasant lamps & a stone street with soothing, well-worn designs met our gaze. We saw dark doorways and steps to a balcony. Immediately everyone wanted to explore. Those closest to him in the room made requests, some of them he had to refuse, others  he obliged. IMF walked down a few steps, then lost patience and jumped the rest of the way, much to our amusement. He introduced us to "Ed' the mystically appearing beachball,  the softly glowing algea of the lake, a game machine that he said didnt always work, mushrooms, bridges, and strange glowing button "controls? IMF explained that the cones and blinking construction signs marked spots that were particularly hazardous. He spoke briefly of the accidents that he'd had. Apparantly there were areas where you could find yourself sinking for no apparant reason, stones could crumble and tumble you into the water and so on.. We could see jagged gaps and occasional cracks that still plague even the safer areas of D'ni. I wonder how the DRC intends to repair them? concrete "caulk"?

Since I knew something of the plan, I had been surprised to see we were alone in Bevin, but I was content to explore vicariously. The trip was already incredibly fun :)   Now some of those near IMF asked him to ask other beta players to come but he explained that they had been asked NOT to be in D'ni at this time, BUT we would get a tour guide. IMF made contact with him. After back tracking a bit we met our guide, Rand Miller, dressed in a blue Cyan shirt & slacks. Next to him stood Dr Watson, obviously there to make sure Rand didnt say too much about key DRC activities. ;)
