AIDA Freedive Trainer Course - Brighton 2003

In March 2003 Ben Gowland met up with a bunch of motley UK freedivers to try and qualify at least a few of us as AIDA Trainers and thus spread the word of freediving. It was a full on, hectic, hard work weekend. We were in the classroom most of the first day covering in depth dive theory, physics, physiology, equipment, safety and some more. Exams were enjoyed by all and we all gave presentations. Day Two was mostly pool work in the gorgeous Uni of Brighton pool arranged by Paul Mullan. Rescues, managing a practice session, tows and other practical stuff was the hard part. Messing around at the end of the day was the best part. Here are the photos... Enjoy
