The Basic 4 Weapons;
Staff (Gun)

The basic Eighteen (18) weapons include;

1.
Saber; (dao); Dun Yiu Dao (single broad sword); Sheung Yiu Dao (double broad sword); Wu Dip Dao (double butterfly knives), or (Hu Die Shuang Dao.
2.
Spear; (chang); Gau Wun Dai Dao (nine ring lance);
3.
Long-handled spear; Dai Kwan Do (large lance)
4.
Straight sword (jian); A narrow blade sword; Bak Sin Gim (straight sword); Sheung Chut (double daggers) are a smaller variation.
5.
Hook sword; Gou; Mui Fa Wu Chow Out (double hook swords)
6.
Halbert; (ji) like a spear with an additional moon shaped blade along one or both sides of the spear head. It is a weapon based on the spear.

     In addition to these, this style uses a short forked weapon known as the cha. Cha's are three pronged weapons used in pairs, and were originally used by monks wandering the country side.
