IN MEMORY OF TOOT

Our beloved little Toot passed to the Rainbow Bridge on May 19, 1999. She was eleven years old and had an inoperable tumor in her chest. She had been a rescue and the previous owners did care enough to try to find homes for their doggies no longer able to breed when their (the owners) health got bad. They were not mean to their Pekingese...the conditions were just not good. Pekes are royal and should NOT be kept outside in pens especially in an area such as ours where it gets so HOT and so COLD. Toot lived her last two years lying on the A/C vent or the heat vent in winter and she always had a happy little "smile" and a joyous little "YAP" to greet us.

Rainbow Angel

Toot and her Pekemom have so many wonderful friends in Petsburgh and in Heartland and they sent tributes that have made dealing with the loss a little more bearable. Through a veil of tears, it helps to know that others understand and care. I cannot list everyone here because I am afraid I might accidentally leave someone out but they know who they are and they need to know I am so grateful for their love and support.

My little friend has gone away
To a Bridge beyond the skies
She's happy now and free of pain
And chasing butterflies

I will miss her so..my little pal
With the sparkling,dancing eyes
But she has new friends now to help
With chasing butterflies

She'll look but will not find me yet
No matter how she tries
So she will wait and pass the days
Chasing butterflies.

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!
