Sandy's 5207 E. Kellogg, Wichita, Kansas was Sandy's #74. It most likely opened in 1964.

I just found the Sandy's web site & your email address this evening.
The East Kellogg Sandy's was located at Kellogg and Pinecrest across the street from the VA Hospital. My family lived on Beverly, a couple of blocks away. My dad worked at the VA, my mom worked at the Cowboy Cleaners that used to be at Kellogg and Beverly and my older brother worked at the Sandy's for awhile. ( He also worked for Dog & Shake) We went to Sandy's a lot. It was not unusual for me to walk or ride my bike to Sandy's then go see my mom at Cowboy Cleaners, or vice versa.
There is a sports bar on the site now with a hotel behind it. If I remember right, Hardees tore down the Sandy's building and replaced it with the smaller Hardees building. It was converted to a sports bar when Hardees left Wichita. Even that building was torn down and replaced with another sports bar. With all the changes on Kellogg, I'm not sure exactly what the site looks like now.
I've included an attachment of a picture of 2 Sandy's glasses that we got at the E. Kellogg Sandy's. They are different from the picture I saw on the web site.
