Many professional chess players have played in the club's tournaments or the sponsored matches.
Of particular note is that no less than three past US Women Chess Champions (one being a co-champion) have competed at the club over the years.
The main event of the club is the annual championship, which starts every year in February.
The club runs continuous tournaments. Membership in United States Chess Federation and club membership is required.
Club membership is $60 per year. Non-members can sign up for both at the site.
