The MiniDolls
All of the dolls in this family are 2" tall or less. Keep in mind that Sara is 5 1/2" tall and you can get an idea of how big they are. The smallest member of the family is the mini clothespin doll in the front left of the group photo. She is just 1/2" tall!

Most of them came here as a result of swapping. In the early eighties, I hosted a newsletter called Miniature Crafters Exchange or MCE. We traded for all sorts of 1"-1' scale miniatures.

This was before the Internet, so everything was done by snail mail. We listed what we had to swap and what we wanted in exchange.

Other members of the MiniDoll family came here as a result of a round robin that I started. I invited several members of the  MCE to participate. We put in a couple of tiny dolls or bears to start with and made exchanges as the round robin box came to our mailbox.

Some of the MiniDolls are dolls or bears that I made back in the eighties.
The close-ups below are scans that are shown larger than life size so that you can see the detail on these dolls.
I made this little doll
from wire and a bead.
This bed doll is one that I swapped for. I don't remember the name of her maker.
The bunny pedler is
another of my creations.
I traded for this adorable
Alice in Wonderland too.
Mini Miss China is by the same maker as Alice and several other dolls.
This is the tiniest doll who lives here. She is a hand carved clothespin and is only 1/2" tall. She was made by the same person who made the bed doll.
Crochet Raggedy Ann is one of a group of amazingly detailed tiny crochet dolls made by the same person. She used regular sewing thread to make them.
Mini Miss Japan is by
Alice's maker also.
Mini Miss Jamaica (left)
is another swap doll.

This lady in red (right)
is one that I made.
