On their second anniversary (celebrating two years together), Duncan took Sarah to her favorite "special occasion" restaurant The Olive Garden.  While there, he asked her if she had seen the new temporary gymnasium Transylvania University had put up.  She said no and he said they should go see it after dinner.  She thought about whether or not he had an ulterior motive...  It would be a romantic idea to propose on their anniversary at the place they met and fell in love, but she didn't want to get her hopes up.  She told herself that he wouldn't know what ring size to get for the engagement ring and she reminded herself that he had told her several times that he did not want to get married until he got out of law school (he still had a year and a half to go).  As they drove out to Transy in the pouring rain, Sarah thought that it was a bit odd that they would drive all this way in bad weather to see a silly dome over tennis courts.  As he drove, Duncan started getting nervous.  They passed the gym and drove around Back Circle.  He didn't say anything or pull over, so Sarah figured he didn't have proposing in mind.  Then he started driving to Old Morrison, the place where they first met.  Sarah didn't think, "This is it!", she simply wasn't thinking.  Duncan got out of the car and opened the umbrella for Sarah.  He opened her door and they got out.  He led her over to the steps in front of the building and turned to her.  They held the umbrella between them.  He said, "Around six years ago, we met here.  We shook hands, I told you my name and you told me yours...  and I've loved you ever since."  He started to kneel and Sarah yelled in her head, "Your pants are going to get wet!"  He pulled the little box from his inside coat pocket and said, "Sarah, will you marry me?"  Sarah started laughing.  Duncan stood up.  "Are you going to answer me?"  She shouted, "Yes!  Yes!  Yes!" and they hugged.  Then Sarah turned and yelled toward campus, "I'm engaged!!!"
