| 02.23.01 Duncan's mom, Duncan, and Sarah met with a caterer for the rehearsal dinner at Jacobson Park. (mmm... ribs...) |
| 11.06.00 to 02.22.01 We have a church, preachers, a dress, the wedding party, a reception place, a caterer for the reception, and have already scheduled many wedding/bridal showers! |
| 02.26.01 We met with a potential photographer. We really liked him and are planning on asking him to shoot the wedding and reception. |

| 03.03.01 Sarah and her mom went to Athena's (where they bought the wedding dress) for a fitting. It was determined that all the dress needs is bustles and bust cups and that her next fitting can wait until June. Sarah, along with her mother and two sisters-in-law (Julie and Polly) went to Elder-Beerman and registered for china, stainless steel flatware, and stemware. We also found Jamie's flower girl dress there! |

| 03.15.01 Duncan met with our travel agent today and finalized honeymoon plans. We're going to Jamaica! |
| 03.18.01 Dave took us out to Keeneland to shoot some engagement pictures. The best part was posing next to a white fence surrounding a horse farm when several colts came up to greet us. We're really looking forward to seeing those pictures! |
| 04.03.01 We met with our DJ to talk reception music AND Dave to look at engagment pictures. The pictures could not be cuter!!! We ordered the traditional engagement announcement picture, some pics with horses, and a few others. Let us know if you would like to see them! |

| 05.04.01 We picked up the engagement pictures. We absolutely love them! Now we can get our announcement in the newspapers! Sarah bought a calligraphy pen to practice before she starts addressing invitations (which will go out the first of June!) We moved some of Duncan's stuff to Hopkinsville (where he'll be living this summer). The best man and bride-to-be won't know what to do in Lexington without him!!! |

| 05.31.01 Nancy and Shana threw Sarah her first shower at Shana's house. In attendance were: Claudia, Natasa, Cara, Heather, Cathy, Grey, and Ann. It was great! Thank you guys! |
| 06.03.01 Duncan's aunt threw us another shower in Louisville. Lots of Dunc's mom's side of the family came and others too! It was a "Kitchen Shower" and we got lots of fun kitchen things. Thank you to all! We can't wait to use (and eat) everything! |
| 06.04.01 to 06.07.01 Sarah's mom came to Lexington with her to do some major wedding planning. During the course of these few days, Sarah and Marcia: -Spoke with a baker and ordered the wedding cake -Spoke with a florist and ordered all of the wedding flowers -Went to Lowe's and the Sunshine Grow Shop to get flowers to plant for reception center pieces -Planted 15 platters of flowers for the reception -Dropped off and picked up dry cleaning -Filled out and mailed (or submitted on-line) several teaching applications -Bought bridesmaids' gifts and the groom's gift -Bought a cute Bride & Groom cake topper -Bought the flower girl's basket -Bought the guestbook feather pen -Cleaned up Sarah's apartment and threw out lots of trash! -Ordered the rest of the bridesmaids' shoes -Ate out at some fun restaurants and cooked some of our own food! -Checked out the reception site to brainstorm ideas for decorations -Met with Southern Hills' secretary/wedding coordinator to discuss the ceremony and to get a tour of everything that will be available to us |
| 06.07.01 Sarah had another dress fitting--this time with her veil--which was completely wrong! An employee (who was recently fired) had messed up several veils (among other things). The boss and owner is fixing this most important veil herself! A final fitting is scheduled in July. |
| 06.08.01 to 06.10.01 Sarah and Duncan went to Barren River Park with Duncan's family. During down times, Sarah, Duncan, Grey, and Dunc's mom Sandy wrote out all of the invitations and reply cards. Sarah addressed most of the invites herself and Grey helped with some of the return addresses. Thanks for helping everyone! |
| 06.11.01 At Duncan's work, Sarah created the map and directions insert for the invitations. We copied them at CopyMax and that night, added to all of the invitations. |
| 06.12.01 90% of the invitations were mailed out today! The post office worker congratulated us and we both thought simultaneously, "There's no turning back!!!" |
| 06.14.01 Sarah's mother received her invitation and the first reply card today! YAY!!! Sarah also bought the several frames that will be used at the church and reception. |
| 06.16.01 Today is Sarah's birthday! It's also our second couple's shower. The Moore's hosted a lovely outdoor "Entertainment Shower." Thank you to all who attended and of course, for the wonderful gifts! |
