Writing
We will spend the year learning
how to write the three main parts of a story:

A Good Beginning: 
Should have an action, sound effect, dialogue, and/or a question/thought/feeling.

A Main Event:
Should have slow-motion action, dialogue, description, and thoughts/feelings.

A Good Ending:
Should have a memory of the main event, main character's feelings, the main character's hopes/wishes, and a decision/defining action.
We are now learning how these parts fit into the 6 Traits of Writing.  We will learn how to score our pieces of writing for the following features:

Ideas
Organization
Voice
Word Choice
Sentence Fluency
Conventions
