S: Uh--I just found out I'm not gonna be a father. B: *Piano Music begins to play, Brenda shakes her head in understanding* I'm sorry. S: I'm not. While you were gone, Carly and I had a baby. It died before it was born and I realized right there that there are somethings you just cant have. *They stare at one another, sadness on both their faces* @End Scene@ @Scene 2@ - (Outside GH in the rain, continued). B: I'm--I'm sad to know that you think that your not meant to have a baby. S: No one gets everything they want, right? B: Yeah. *they nod their heads in agreement, Camera pans to Carly who is standing on the other side of the exit door watching* S: There are things you know you cant have. You lie to yourself, saying your better off without them. You know. You make excuses. You were always pretty good at that. B: Yeah. I dont need excuses anymore. I dont have time for them. S: What do you need Brenda? Would you ever tell me? *She reaches out and touches his face. Her hand lingers there for a moment until she slowly takes it away* S: Um, you better get outta the rain.
