All our puppies are vet checked, given their 1st shots, and are raised in our home not in a kennel. All puppies have a 5 generation pedigree and come from dogs and bitches that live on the premises.

Hello, my name is "Scarlett" and I have been a Shih Tzu lover and breeder for over 15 years. I am also a mom of four grown children and a grandmother.

I currently own 10 "furkids" of my own. Seven of them are now retired spayed/neutered senior citizens and are just our bedhogs and cuddle buddies. :-) We will love them for the rest of their lives as part of our family because they are our "furkids" and are not for sale! My dogs are my babies and they are treated as part of the family. They are all spoiled but have wonderful temperaments!

I am located in Brunswick Maine. I do ship puppies or you can visit me in person. I have a good reputation as a breeder and offer references, including from my vet, to all my puppy buyers. I also require references from prospective puppy buyers! My puppies do get placed quickly with the right homes and I do maintain a waiting list. All my dogs are AKC or UKC registered or both.

I do believe that someone who really loves the breed will make every effort to breed healthy puppies that will remain healthy through out their lives. Responsible breeders DO NOT make money breeding because it costs a lot to be responsible. They find satisfaction in knowing they have done their best to produce healthy high standard pups that are properly socialized and then finding just the right homes for them.

I am a member of the ASPCA, the HSUS, the Humane Society, and the Science Diet Breeders Program. I help with rescue at our nearby animal shelter and I am a Vet Assistant.

PLEASE NOTE:..WE DO NOT BREED IMPERIALS (READ ABOUT THE SHIH TZU AT AKC WEBSITE)! WE DO NOT HAVE KENNELS. ALL OUR DOGS ARE RAISED IN OUR HOME! WE ONLY BREED SHIH TZU, NOT 2 OR 3 OTHER BREEDS! WE LOVE THE SHIH TZU BREED AND LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH JUST THEM. WE DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE LITTERS BUT WHEN WE DO THE WAITING LIST USUALLY GETS FILLED VERY FAST. ALL PUPPIES ARE VET CHECKED DURING THEIR STAY HERE WITH US AND BEFORE GOING HOME TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES!

Inside you will meet my "furkid" family including my females Mopsey (she went to the Rainbow bridge on 12/22/05 at the age of 15 years), Suki, Jade, Delenn (Puckie), Mulan, Ruby, Toto, and Lucy, and my males Coco, Kaiser, Garbaldi (Little Boy), and Kane. Ruby and Toto are the only 2 of my females I am currently breeding. All my other females have been spayed.

We have 10 generations of my dogs and puppies on the premises, six generations on Mopsey's side and four generations on Jade's side, that are still living. A fact we are very proud of.

When we retire our furkids they are spayed or neutered. NONE OF OUR ADULT OR SENIORS FURKIDS ARE FOR SALE!! They are part of OUR family forever! They will be our furkids and bed hogs until the day they called home to Rainbow Bridge, so please do NOT ask if they are for sale!
