The year of 2009 started a few months ago yet it could be 1909 if you look at it from an evolutionary point of view. If humans are evolving, which most of science states as fact, then it is a snails crawl of an evolution. Before I get into what I believe is or should be our purpose in our short existence on earth, let me reflect on what I believe is NOT our purpose. I do not believe we should be at war with anyone. And I mean every country. I do not believe a God who created all of us has a favorite group of people who are lucky enough to be born in a particular country or born into a particular religion which is chosen over all others. We are all human beings with the same love for our children and pain when we lose them in war. Every parent who has suffered the loss of a loved one in war cannot for one instant believe their loss is any different, or any more important than that of a parent in a country which is in conflict with us. The justification is not there. Both sides are living through hell, and just because our government has banged the drums of war, repeated the fear based tales of getting the horrible enemy before they get us, does not mean we should allow ourselves to be blind to the reality of death of other human beings. Just because we are told thousands of times through Television, radio and newspapers that we are good and they are evil does not make it any more true. The leaders of other countries are saying the same thing to their people. We are evil and they are good. Both sides are wrong. Our leaders are the evil ones. They use us as pawns in their war games, and all of us lose. That is the people who must fight in wars. Words are very powerful, and when used by those who understand their power, impacts our consciousness without our knowledge. No one wants to be against the war out of fear of being looked at as unpatriotic, or one of the terrorist. This is word manipulation at it's finest. The media bombarded all of us over and over with fear of weapons of mass destruction, ties to the terrorist responsible for 9-11, and when these and all other lies became known, then it became just a good idea to take Saddam out and give the poor Iraq people a democracy. But the whole point becoming blurred is the fact that Iraq had no WMD, no ties to Al Queda, and were no threat to us or anyone else until we invaded their homeland and began killing them. This country did not attack us, and they had no power to do so then, now or in the future. Look at this country on the map, it's tiny. We are the most powerful country on earth and we have been told we need to fear these people and they will come here and kill us? The people behind 9-11 and the Iraqi people are not the same. So I say, we should not be so gullible that we can no longer think when we are told about dangers that are at the most very small and unlikely to happen within our borders. The world can be scary, and some terrorist may try to cause death and destruction, but after 9-11, we will not allow the same mistakes as before. We will not wait hours to send fighters to intercept planes we know are being hijacked. We will not allow 15 known terrorist to obtain passports which were issued even though the forms were not complete as law states. I don't know what happened on 9-11, but it is clear to anyone who dares think that what we were told and the story that we have accepted has too many unanswered questions and we will never know the whole story as long as we do not get angry enough to demand it. We have had no attack like that since and it has nothing to do with homeland security, it has to do with people being aware of the consequences of prison and even death if they become known. We are always forced to look at our differences as humans instead of our similarities. We should not allow differences in race, religion, or anything else to cloud the fact that the similarities we all share as humans on this one planet instead of uniting us have kept us divided for a long time.. Divided we are pawns in a game of greed, control and power that those in power (presidents, Kings and Queens, dictators etc.) have played at our expense for hundreds, no thousands of years. To believe they have our best interest in mind would be way beyond naive. If you think about it, where did this so called royal blood come from? Are we not all from one source? Knowledge is power, and the truth shall set you free. Yet we are not truly free. Sure we have choices in life, but these choices are limited. From the moment we're born all those around us, even the ones with the best intentions, begin to teach us what choices we have to choose from and their advice on the best of them. The core of this knowledge depends on where and who you were born into. For example in my family most of the elders are Christians, and they teach from the start that this is the one and only choice if you are to be accepted by those you crave love from. If not by constant repetition then by force. I remember children who were made to go to church and told if they did not believe as told they would be punished. Extreme, yes, not likely, oh yes very likely. Through guilt, fear, and shame we are conditioned to walk the path of the majority in life. And when we rebel we are rejected by loved ones, ridiculed by peers, and in some cases jailed or institutionalized. We become a nuisance to society, an outcast, or labeled unfit. So most of us learn to give in to the pressures and accept our fate. Our life does not belong to us if we must follow the path of those who decide what is best for us and society. This does not mean murder is ok, rape and other violence against others. But to be truly free, not just physically, but mentally too, we should have freedom to express ourselves from our soul instead of our ego. Our ego fits well into this limited choice life we find ourselves in. And even though a lot of people cannot see that we are in a very limited life, this is the most ironic part of it. We even convince ourselves that this is the way it's supposed to be because it's all we know. We become the masters of deception over our very lives. I believe our true purpose is to never stop learning. In every aspect of life. There are multiple choices in mainstream religions because it takes telling the same story in many different ways for people to understand the wisdom hidden in these ancient texts. Every religious text, every piece of esoteric knowledge available and yet to be found is just more pieces of the giant puzzle that we have yet to figure out completely. If you look at the similarities between people and every ancient teaching instead of the differences, you may discover they were all saying the same thing just in a different way. Every one we meet has something to teach us. And the same goes for us teaching them. A poor man teaches a rich man how to have compassion if he will only look hard enough into himself. A great teacher can inspire others to see their own greatness even if it's not in the same context as the teachers. Our purpose is to seek always from every corner of this earth, and never be satisfied that you know it all. Those who know it all know nothing. Those who know they can never know it all know everything. Every great leader fell. Success only last for a while, but sooner or later because they falsely believe they can do no wrong or have all the answers they fall. Read history. And if you look close, every great teacher or leader who dared tell some truth was either murdered, suicided, crucified, or die mysteriously under strange circumstances. It's right before your eyes but you refuse to see. Peace for now. |
Something is wrong with our eyes. |
Here we are in the year 2009 and so many things going on that are not good. The economy is a concern to most people right now, and with good reason. The entire monitary system world wide is in trouble. Unless you are completely out of the loop, it's very hard to be optimistic about the financial picture before us. It is hitting every country, every industry, and the dominoe effect has only begun. First lets see if you are seeing correctly. Do you see the bailout money as the solution to this RECESSION? Does it make sense to give billions to large finanial and insurance institutes and wall street giants then they in turn give most of it to top executives as bonuses? Do you see these bonuses as something they deserve? When's the last time your company gave you a million dollar bonus while showing a massive loss in yearly revenue? This is going on right before our eyes, yet we do not seem outraged. At least not enough to become so angry that we demand a stop to this. What can we the little people do? We have a lot more power than most think. The problem lies in our inability to see this power because we have been told we have none for so long we actually believe it. Power, great power comes from knowledge. This is why the Garden of Eden story is based on the tree of knowledge. Knowledge is a double sided sword. With great knowledge comes massive responsibility. Too much knowledge obtained by immuture minds can either hurt them or become a curse to many. When Adam and Eve's eyes were open and they knew good and evil, they became like a god because with this knowledge they could use it for good or evil. And some of us can see where that lead us. Before knowledge of good and evil they had no knowledge of duality. They saw everything as it was, cause was produced in the spirit world, (or higher mind) and the effect was seen with physical eyes when it manifest before them. This gave them a tremendous advantage. Without evil thoughts arising from the mind causing bad effects on their physical bodies, they were truly in a Garden, one of paradise because they did not stain it. We no longer have vision to see how our thoughts will come out in physical form, far from our original intentions. The road to Hell was paved with good intentions. Being naive and innocent means something different when we adjust our eyes to see properly. Naive and innocent because they were aware of their dual existence. Believe it or not, the truth is always paradoxial, we are dual beings. We are spiritual and physical. We were designed this way on purpose. And spiritual doesn't mean spooky ghost like fantasy wacko sci-fi geekiness. It means the breath of life, the part hidden inside our physical forms that animate these forms. Sort of like a light bulb has no life until electricity is connected to it, thereby making it glow and shine light into darkness. Without this spark of electricity, our bodies are dead, just like when you die, your body has malfunctioned and can no longer be useful to the electricity that animates it, so the spark has no physical form to show itself in the physical world. This causes us to believe it ceases to exist, but this is a big error on our part. This spirit of life, this spark of electricity that flows through our physical forms has always existed and always will. It may not have a way to manifest so it can be seen by physical eyes, but it still exist. We are physical beings, manifest, or the cause of spirit. The spirit is the cause, our physical existence is the effect. Matter is inert unless an outside force interacts with it. Withour spirit our bodies would be useless. How we cannot see this simple yet profound truth is beyond me. We seem to complicate everything and it then has a dire effect on us as a species. We take the different ancient texts and use them to divide each other and war with each other, each pointing at the other and calling them evil. The truth is, when looked at properly, they are all saying basically the same thing just in a different way. But it's much more fun to believe ourselves superior to others in matters of faith. Sure, that's what the creator intended. So now maybe you can get a tiny glimpse of why knowledge could be harmful. |
Do we have a purpose? |

"You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. You're here because you know something. What you know, you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad." - Morpheus | |||||||||
