| Written on October 11, 1998 This deals with the Clinton / Lewinsky Scandal, and the words are meant to be sung to the tune of "God Save the Queen" or "My Country 'Tis of Thee." Enjoy! Vs.1: God bless ol' W.J. Prez until Judgement Day! God bless his soul! Nixon had Watergate, One black mark on his slate; Now let us firmly state: "Monicagate!" Vs. 2: Unethical was he, Against morality, His values shot. Protestant or Baptist, Cath'lic or Methodist, Clinton has really dissed all of the Church. Vs. 3: Innocent was his plea, For his indecency, But,yes, he lied! How he's in real hot soup; Starr's thrown him for a loop! Does popularity swoop down? No siree! Vs. 4: Forget the peace we see, Or the economy, What do you have? A nation in a mess, Our troubles may God bless; Doomed for laughter unless Clinton resigns! Vs. 5: If this should get this far Stuff Clinton in his car, And drive him home, The nation would be mad, Al Gore - he would be had Because he is just bad, Oh bad, bad, bad! Vs. 6: If you were crazy, Or just plain lazy, Vote for reform! Vote for H. Ross Perot, That is your way to go! To the polls in sleet or snow! Vote for Perot! Vs. 7: My poem comes to a close, My writing pace now slows. (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome!) Before my hand gives out, Let out that glorious shout, All tall, all short, and stout GOD BLESS OLD BILL! |
