Hey, a begginer eh? Oh well. Hey, ya gotta start somewhere. Alright, I'll give you a few tips, ya know, show you what not to do (from my own wonderful experience). You'll be rich in no time. Hee hee hee..
1st day: The Mayor will come by. Take the tour, ya may need the info. Plus, it makes the mayor happy :)
2nd Day: Alright, that was a fun little trip huh? Ok, first, hoe some land. Try it like this for starters:

This way makes it easy to water and plant the most possible crops with the regular watering can. Then go to the Supermarket and buy some crops. I would buy turnips and/or potatoes because they cost the least and grow the fastest. Plant the seed and water them.
Spring: Well, go through the rest of spring. You don't have to do much. Clear your farm of rocks and wood. It's a little early for upgrades. I do recommend buying a chicken. Just buy one and hatch the rest from eggs. Then, make sure you have about $6,000 by the time summer rolls around. Cut down your plants on the 30th of Spring. It will help save time. Also, grow flowers to get bees to come. You can gather their honey.
Summer: First, make sure your hoed areas are weed-less. Then, go to the store for crops. I would buy corn first. They may take more time to grow, but they sell for $40 more. Make sure you have at least $4,000 left over after buying stuff at the supermarket. Now, wait 'till about 1, then go to the inn. Buy pine-apples from Won! They may cost $1,000 but they'll make you rich! Go back to our farm and plant all your crops. Careful, wasting pineapples seeds can be costly. If you plant and water the pineapples every day from the 1st of Summer, you'll get to harvest them twice. Also, you can harvest things in the forest. If you save up $5,000, make some quick money by buying a basket (red barrel from the supermarket, taking it into the mine behind the waterfall, and mining. Ignore regular, rock ore ad go for stuff like silver ore and Mystrile.
Fall: Well, if you got rich off pine-apples, good for you! Fall is a good gathering season. Go into the forest and look for mushrooms and truffles. A must have crop is sweet potatoes. They grown and grow and grow. You can make lots of money off of them. Start thinking about saving up to get extensions and upgrades on your house and tools. You can plant other crops for variety, but most aren't worth it. Just wait for winter to come. If you decide to buy a cow or sheep, make sure you have enough fodder. Same with the chickens and their chicken feed. A part-time job will open. Take it for a little extra cash.
Winter: Well, winter is here. You can't plant (obviously), so upgrade! Make money b selling the things you find mining. The lake in the forest is frozen, so walk across, get the power berry, and go into the mine. This mine has more stuff that you can sell. Also, you can find special crystals that you can give to the blacksmith and have him make jewelry with. Also, the green crystals you find can be used to build cheese, yarn and mayonnaise makers. You can't do that this early in the game, so just sell them. Now is a good time to get extensions and stuff. Be sure to take good care of your horse, dog and other animals. Celebrate and be jolly and watch the sun rise on the 30th with the villagers at 12:00 in the morning.
Spring 2: Well, you seem to have a good grip on the game. This is where I leave you. Why? Well, it wouldn't be a very fun game if I told you exactly what to do now would it? Didn't think so. So, good luck! May fame and fortune be in your future :)
Did I miss anything? Oh? I did? Well then...
