Scott County Finishes Up Another Successful Season.......GO LADY CARDINALS!!!!! Scott County Falls in Semi-Finals of 11th Region Tournament...
It was a match-up of the two best teams in the state, unfortunately it wasn't in Bowling Green but in the semi-finals of the 11th Region. Scott County held the lead for all but one second. Lexington Catholic's Briana Green hits a jumper at the buzzer to defeat the Lady Cardinals 57-55 in what many said may as well have been the state championship. Scott County finishes up the season 27-3 and was ranked #23 USA Today going into this game. Lexington Catholic takes their #5 USA Today ranking into the regional finals. Another successful season is now behind us as we say good bye to the seniors.

Lady Cardinals Crush Model 94-43...Sets Rematch with Lex Cath.....
The Lady Cardinals set the tone early jumping out to a 23-0 lead on Model, and coasted the rest of the way. With this win, the rematch is set with Lexington Catholic in Frankfort on Saturday.

Lady Cardinals Win the 42nd District & Move to 26-2!!!......
The Lady Cardinals use a big second half to defeat Henry Clay for the 42nd District Championship. The Lady Cardinals defeated Sayre 87-29 in the opening game on Tuesday night, then behind Rebecca Gray's 33 points, downed the Blue Devils 93-74 in the championship game. This was the third meeting between the two teams this season, and SC has won all three. The Lady Cardinals now host the first round of the Regional Tournament and will play Model this Thursday night. Anticipating a win, the second round of the Regionals will be at Frankfort Convention Center next Saturday at 1pm.

Lady Cardinals Drill Tates Creek for Senior Nite 79-25....
Scott County says good bye to 5 seniors as they play their last regular season home game of the year. Laura Hoffman, Chelsia Lymon, Suzie Owens, Ausha Weathers, and Sarah Wilson will be sorely missed on and off the court. These 5 girls have represented Scott County well during their playing days at SCHS. All 5 took the starting positions for the game, as the Lady Cardinals rolled to another big win. This game ends the regular season for SC, as they now prepare to play Sayre in the first game of the 42nd District Tournament at Henry Clay. Congratulations to our Lady Cardinals, and to our 5 special seniors!!

Scott County Moves to 23-2, Downs Sayre 105-42........
Scott County showed little sign of fatigue after the Lex-Cath. game as they score a season-high 105 points and place 14 in the scoring column against Sayre. Regan Grimes comes off the bench to lead all scorers with 19. Next up is Whitley Co. on Monday night, then Sr. Nite this Thursday night.

Scott County Falls to Lexington Catholic 82-77.....
An electric atmosphere in front of 3,000 fans at Scott County where the two top teams in the state faced off. 13 lead changes and 9 ties made this a great basketball game. Lex-Cath takes the regular season win, but Scott County looks forward to a regional rematch.

Woodford County hadn't lost a home game in two years, and that was to Scott County. The outcome was the same tonight as the Lady Cardinals made a big 15-0 and never looked back.

The Lady Cardinals knock off another Top 25 team, defeating Iroquois 86-59 in the championship game of the L.I.T. SC moves to 19-1, and still unbeaten in-state. Rebecca Gray receives "Offense Player of the Tournament" Award, with Suzie Owens named "Defensive Player of the Tournament". Gray and Owens were joined by Chelsia Lymon on the All-Tournament team. Lady Cardinals Take 5th In BBC with 76-47 Win.....
Even though the Lady Cardinals couldn't defend their Championship from last year, they go 3-1 and finish a strong 5th in the tournament. SC defeats JL Mann 76-47 in the finale. Rebecca Gray was named to the all-tournament team, and SC sets more team records this year.

The Lady Cardinals end up the pre-season with an impressive win over Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati), who is ranked USA Today Pre-Season #21. The game was played at Lexington Catholic High School and featured impressive play from both teams. The format was a 30 minute clock, with no reset on the score. The Lady Cardinals took a 4-2 lead that they never relinquished, en route to a 72-59 win. The Lady Cardinals open up the 2005-2006 regular season on the road, at Rowan County (Mon., 11/28/05).
