Families and teachers showed up to our homecoming game on Friday, September 21, 2007. Everyone was in a spiritied mood. Cheerleaders were cheering, and the people in the stands were dancing and shouting. Most people showed up with banners and signs, and EVERYONE was in a spiritied mood.
Scorpion fans were cheering in the stands, shouting with excitement, waiting for a touchdown to occur. Paschal threw the ball and, instead of the Panthers receiving the ball, Cedrick Mcpherson intercepted it, keeping them from scoring a touchdown.
After we had gotten the ball back, a pass was made to David Diaz. Glowing eyes filled the stands as a touchdown was made by Dias on his birthday. Everyone was jumpoing up and down with excitement and joy because of the touchdown he made.
In the last quarter with 10 seconds left, everyone was in shock, not knowing what was going to happen next. Keeping the Panthers from even trying to make a touchdown, a herd of Scorpions tackled the Panther carrying the ball, and the Scorpions won with only seconds left in the game.
Even though the South Hills fooball players had a rough start at the beginning, they played a great game, and defeated the Paschal Panthers 24 to 17.
