FOOD IS ONE THING PEOPLE MAY NOT TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT RAW MEAT AS IN OTHER ANIMALS,BIRDS ETC . YOU MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE THESE KIND OF PRODUCTS AND KNOW HOW TO USE THEM. I WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN WHAT EACH OF THEM IS AND APPROX COST TO BUY . THE COST MAY VARY FROM DIFFERENT PLACES AND FROM YEAR TO YEAR, SO GOOD IDEA TO SHOP AROUND FOR A SUPPLIER. PET SHOPS CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE SO FIND SOMEONE WHO DEALS WITH BIRDS OF PREY AND THEY WILL PROBABLY SELL YOU AT A REASONABLE COST. THE FOLLOWING PICTURES MAY NOT BE TO EVERYONES LIKING AS PICTURES SHOW ANIMALS USED TO FEED HAWKS AND FERRETS. |

AS YOU CAN SEE THESE ARE SOME OF THE TYPES OF FOOD FED TO THE BIRDS AND THERE ARE SOME OTHERS. THE ONE YOU WOULD PROBABLY USE MOST OF THE TIME IS THE DAY OLD CHICKS. THESE CAN ALSO BE PULLED APART FOR USEING WHEN FLYING, THE WINGS AND LEGS CAN BE PULLED OFF WHEN FROZEN AND PUT IN A TUB. RATS I USED IF I WAS NOT GOING TO FLY FOR A GOOD FEW DAYS AS IT PUTS A GOOD BIT OF WEIGHT ON THE BIRD,(USED MOSTLY WHEN MOLTING). MICE ARE OKAY BUT THE PRICE IS A BIT MUCH TO FEED ALL THE TIME. RABBIT IS OK AS WELL BUT REMEMBER TO CUT UP TO MEAL SIZES BEFORE FREEZING. |
