MY TANG SOO DO CLUB? by AARON STEWART, 8TH GUP
I like Tang Soo Do because of the exercise, it helps my keep my body in shape.  I like the sparring because I can learn how to defend myself.
I can now get out of a hand lock.  It is nice that I can go to class with my big brother and make other friends.
The Tang Soo Do instructors are great, sometimes they make us laugh.

WHY MARTIAL ARTS IS IMPORTANT by VICKI STEGGALL, 6TH GUP
Martial Arts is important because it teaches you how to defend yourself incase you get into an awkward situation, and also using minimum force to get yourself out of it so you dont use up all of your energy, giving you time to get away.
It allows you to walk away from a challenge knowing that you don?t have to prove yourself to them.  It builds confidence in youself aswell.  I like Tang Soo Do because I have always been interested in martial arts since I was little.  I enjoy learning all the difference techniques like a roundhouse kick, back kick, spinning back kick etc.  I have liked learning to count, say the names of the techniques and some other stuff in Korean.
I also like Tang Soo Do because you don?t just learn to defend yourself and you get to spar, learn how to use nunchucks, bow staff and when you get to black belt you use a sword, and you do a bit of yoga too (that builds up your chi).

WHY I LIKE TANG SOO DO? by RYAN STEWART  7TH GUP
I like Tang Soo Do for lots of different reasons.
Firstly, it?s a non contact Martial Art, as I?m a young boy that doesn?t like harming myself and other people.    I have made new friends and am seeing my school friends on Monday and Thursday evenings.
I look forward to coming in the Holidays because all my other clubs are closed.  Bullying can happen to boys or girls at any time but now I feel more confident that I could defend myself.
At the start of every class we do our exercises, I do find some easier than others but that is because I have practised them more.
The first grading I did was a new experience for my and I was very nervous but when it was all over I felt good that I had my white tag.  I never even thought when I started the Lossie class last Spring I would grade twice and get my orange belt less than a year later.
Christmas time was very nice, we had a party evening with games, prizes and party food.  I enjoyed this special night!
