Main Lodge
So far they have not only stood the test of time but also dealt with one of the largest earthquakes New Zealand has had in some time, a whopping 7.2 on the Richter Scale (2003). Unlike the occupants at that time, the buildings didn't even break sweat!
The main lodge is where you will find the cooking, washing and general relaxation facilities of the hostel.
The backpackers is situated on a deer farm so you may hear strange noises in the night!
