The Nosebleed Section was founded in the summer of 2000 by Daryl Freeman (former Commissioner), David Houston, Will McKee, Scott Evans and Rocco Grisham.  Initially, the league was free and comprised of coaches who were working for On-Cue (a now bankrupt retail entertainment media company) at that time, along with a few of their friends.  With the success of this inaugural campaign, Mr. Freeman and Mr. Houston lobbied for the implementation of a Championship Pot, where an entry fee would be required and the total collected divided among the top three finishers.  This single idea spawned a monster.  Mr. Houston was unanimously elected to serve as Treasurer, and the Championship Pot was officially implemented in 2002.  Would be recruits were stammering at any chance to join the league, and all were accepted with open arms, provided they could pony up the dough.  But alas, promoting the league with open-to-all ideals fostered problems with unethical behavior from a handful of participants.  For this reason, the five remaining members from the 2000 season (our founding fathers) created the League Management Committee (LMC) and authored the original version of this rulebook in 2004 to create a group of expected standards to which all league members could hold one another accountable without worry of rendering any season a complete wash.
