| Winter Clothing Drive |
| When the cold winds blow, and the wet ground is slick, aren't we glad to know, that our loved ones aren't sick? What about those, lost or alone, with cold hurting toes, and holes that need to be sewn? Yes, many of us look away. We are too busy, or too proud. Yes, noises fill our day, DVDs, MP3s, cell phones, all so loud. Again, we CAN do as we may. Until nature, or bad luck, comes OUR way. No! THOSE things won't happen to me. My home will never flood, burn or be blown down. But...wait... how can it be, THOSE poor people ... once thought just like me. |
| Please, don't throw away those old clothes. Let us help you give them to the people that really NEED them. Many children and adults don't care how your old clothes may fit or how the colors and stains look. Many less fortunate children and adults would just like to be warm and fully clothed this winter. The ECMA Teen Impact Club is teaming up with the National Junior Honor Society this winter. We will have collection boxes around the school to gather up as much clothing as possible to donate to less-fortunate children and people. The boxes will be out from Dec. 3 to Dec. 19, 2007. The Coats and Jackets will go to Our House and the rest of the clothing will be donated to Goodwill. Please give what you can and thank you for caring. May we never need the same charity that we give this season, but wouldn't it be nice to know that it is there in case we do? |
