Synopsis:
A young cop goes undercover to infiltrate a street racing team in Los Angeles to stop the hijacking of semi trucks full of expensive new home electronics.

Review:
What an extraordinary waste!  Everyone involved with this monstrosity should be deeply embarrassed.  Perhaps many of them have inhaled far too many exhaust fumes because if this is simple entertainment for simple minds, those minds must have a lot of impairment to get this simple.  Not half-assed, more like a tenth-assed rip off of
Point Break.  Only Dominic Toretto, the good villain, has any character development.  Much of that is forced, but reasonable compared to the rest of the flick.  The other characters are so poorly written that I can only say the acting is adequate, not good or bad.  The logic errors abound as motivations float around whatever theme is the focus of the current scene.  The prose about the engine modifications was a brief and puke laden attempt to bestow legitimacy to the portrayal, but it could be insulting to those involved in the sport.

The camera effects were occasionally acceptable, but most were a desperate attempt to dramatize a situation that would have been dramatic in the first place if it was decently written.  The sound effects were as blatantly overdone as an impotent person buying an SUV to try and cover up their shortcomings.  It does not work.  The music suffers the same fate.  It is overly loud to create
a stimulus, but it has little to do with the story

This is the worst 2001 movie that I have seen so far, but at least parts of it were pretty laughable; unintentionally.
