My gr. gr.grandparents. 3 Rev. John SEIBER was born 28 April 1816 in Poplar Creek, Anderson County, Tennessee to Samuel SEIBER Sr. and Isabelle FROST. He died 25 May 1891 in Anderson County, Tennessee and was buried in East Fork Cemetery, Anderson County. John married Alvina KINCAID on 27 January 1840 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Alvina was born 26 February 1823 in Anderson County, Tennessee to CLINGAN KINCAID and his wife Rutha UNKNOWN. She died 28 August 1895 in Anderson County, Tennessee and was buried in East Fork Cemetery, Anderson County. NOTE: Bits and pieces of information taken from various documents over the years.. (1)John was ordained as a Baptist preacher in 1852.. (2)He was a participating minister in a sacramental meeting at the Sulpher Springs Church in 1852, and served as Moderator for the Church Session in 1858.. (3)He was called as Pastor of Poplar Creek (later New Fairview) about 1857.. (4)He was well-known in the tri-county area.. (5)Preached the introductory sermon of the Clinton Baptist Associational Meeting in 1884, at Coal Creek, and preached at a night service during the organization of the Big Emory Association in 1875.. (6)He farmed and worked as a blacksmith to support his family.. (7)Professed his faith in Christ 4 September 1848 and was licensed to preach at Mt Zion.. (8)He helped to organize New Bethel, Mt Zion, and re-build East Fork and Robertsville Churches.. (9)Helped establish several churches in that area.. (10)As Pastor, he received little to nothing for his work, and for his labors as missionary on destitute fields he never received more than $.25 a per day.. (11)Was a twin to Elijah. She died 1 January 1919 in Anderson County, Tennessee and was buried in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Roane County, Tennessee. 4 Phoebe SEIBER was born 2 September 1844 in Anderson County, Tennessee. She died 15 February 1921 in Roane County, Tennessee and was buried in East Fork Cemetery, Anderson County, Tennessee. 4 Mariah SEIBER was born about 1846 in Anderson County, Tennessee. She died 12 April 1885 in Scott County, Arkansas and was buried in Lone Star Cemetery on Ft.Chaffee Reservation in Arkansas. 4 Malinda SEIBER was born September 1849 in Anderson County, Tennessee. She died 1921. Malinda married Jasper M. HOSKINS on 1 September 1871 in, Roane County, Tennessee. Jasper was born July 1852.
