When I first learned that my Gr.grandmother was a Seiber I began my research in Anderson and Roane County Tennessee. I started my research in the Clinton Library and I am so thankful that I did, for it was there that I found the group sheets by Snyder Roberts on Seiber families. When I found these I was overjoyed as it saved me many, many hours of leg work and set a good foundation for my own research. I have tried to veryify much of the information that I found on Mr. Snyders work. With the great foundation and my own personal research I have come to the following conclusions. Please let me know if you find any errors or can give me additional information. Would love to hear from you… Wanda 1.. Philip SEIBER Sr. was born about 1765 in Germany. He died about 1847 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Phillip married (1) UNKNOWN. Phillip married (2) Mary LIVELEY on 27 January 1802 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. NOTE: Mary BEVERLY is rumored to have been Philip’s first wife and that she was born about 1760. She died about 1845/1850 in Anderson County, Tennessee. This information was taken from an old group sheet in SLC. I found a marriage record for Philip SEIBER and Mary LIVELEY in Jefferson County and I am sure this Mary LIVELEY must be the second wife and the one that is mentioned in his will. I have recently seen that Philip’s first wife might have been Maria HIMMELBERGER but as far as I know it has not been proven. NOTE: Philip may have been born in Germany. He was either in Pennsylvania or Maryland before coming to Tennessee. He is found in Jefferson County in 1802 where he married Mary Lively. Then he moved to what is now Frost Bottom in Anderson County, Tennessee. Anderson County was formed from Knox County in 1801. Philip is not found on the Anderson County tax list for 1802 nor 1805. First record that I've found for him is a survey for 112 acres of land on 26 December 1809. MARRIAGE: (1)?Mary Beverley? Or Himmelberger (Note: this was taken from an old group sheet in SLC)...
