~~ DISPOSAL ~~

We live in a society
That throws it all away
Instead of saving some old things,
To use another day.

That cardboard box
You threw it out
You didn't use your head
When I was young
With snowdrifts high,
We used it for a sled.

That worn old tire
Throw away that thing...
No!…wait...
Just tie a rope to it,
It's now a child's swing.

The cans and empty bottles
Cereal boxes, so much more
When gathered all together,
Become a child's store.

Paper wrap, cellophane
And plastic bags take flight
Tear into strips,
Tie on a string, a tail, a child's kits.

One old crate of slatted wood
Add rusted wheels, new paint
A smiling lad
He pulls his "prize",
A wagon very quaint.

That table cloth and shower curtain
Seem eaten by the moths
Don't throw it out,
Just fold and save,
You have some new drop cloths.

There are ways
To use it all
Not once, but twice and more
When in need, just go and shop,
To "your" recycle store.

~~Use and re-use~~ Save our planet...pass this on to everyone you know!
