Nichollette's Profile

Character Bio: Nichollette DeNuitnoire

~S/N's: DarkViciousVamp. Yes, that’s right. Only one so far for Nich. But that could always change without much warning, so you never know, seeing as how she is engaged and all.

~Name: Nichollette Marie DeNuitnoire; Nich (pronounced “Nick”) or Nikki to her friends. This little nickname was started for two main reasons, the first being that Nichollette is painfully long, and the other, is the annoying fact that no one could seem to manage to properly spell Nichollette, other than myself of course. I watched it be butchered beyond the point of comprehension which is really sad considering everything is TYPED out and people could have easily checked the info had they forgotten the spelling once Nichollette had introduced herself to them. I gave up and broke down to let her be referred to as Nich in the end.

~The symbolism behind the name: Congratulations if you recognized her entire name as being French. Nichollette is French for Nicole of course, and it means “Victorious People”. Marie, French for Mary, has disputed meaning, the three options are “Wished-for child”, “Rebellion”, and “Sea of Bitterness”. Interestingly enough, in a sense, all of these can be properly applied to Nich. Lastly, her last name translates from French into “of black night.” This was a creation of my own... taking four years of French was actually useful for once!! Anyways, since she is a Vampire, creature of darkness and sin and all that fun stuff, well I think you get the “of black night” part. Her persona is dark, haunted, supernatural. Dark and black describe it best, in my opinion. Vague words I know, but, well... ::points to the sn and shrugs::

~Height: Her tall frame of 5’11” makes her a bit tall for her breed, almost a full head above the usually somewhat dimunitive stereotypical vampiress height. The added height magnifies her air of nearly overwhelming poise and refinement, gathering from merely her physical appearance. The height presents a certain gentility which is breath-takingly rare among what can usually be drudged up here and there abouts.

~Weight: 121 lbs, quite slender for a woman of her height, Nichollette’s form is gracefully toned, and she moves with an uncanny, other wordly fluidity. Nearly cat-like, her delicately muscled appearance vaguely aludes to her origin and immortal background of inhuman power. The sleek, lithe, and practically perfect body is something of a blessing and a curse. Seductive, alluring, again, stereotypes of vampirism, these are very apparent in Nich, in quite a few different ways, not exclusively physical, though that is most definitely included.

~Hair: An impossible mane of gossamer sable tresses falls to the small of her back; thick, straight and shining like a waterfall of obsidian. Dainty loosely curled ringlets hide just behind her small ears in the silken sable strands pooling fluidly over and down past her narrow shoulders. No bangs dared to conceal her delicate pale brow. Her lashes, lush and thick, were the same shade of jet black, as were the thin arching eyebrows.

~Eyes: Pupilless crimson twins, strange and eerily beautiful in their stark red shade of iris’ that seemed to have engulfed and taken completely over the pupils that had once been there. A curiosity, they can be somewhat frightening upon first encounter, though their exotic qualities are merely appreciated for and seen as the marks of an ungodly immortal being that they are, and should be. Their stare is somewhat of an uncomfortable position, as Nichollette has the tendency to fix those bloody pools onto a person, and gaze with such intensity and demand that it seems she is seeing something more than the physical sense of the object she is studying. Staring into a soul perhaps, reading it’s innermost thoughts and best kept secrets, merely for the pure and simple fact that she can. When taking a mortal’s blood, those eyes begin to flare and burn, as the hunger fully arouses the dark and sinister unnatural side of her.

~Age: Nichollette has the appearance of a young adult, 23 having been the mortal age at which point she was shown the Embrace. She ceased to age in the mortal sense of the word since that point, looking to be 23 all the 300 years between that point and this one. And she shall continue in that appearance until shown Final Death. So for those of you who can't add that up.. Nich is 323.

~Astrological sign: Mortal frivolities, which neither exist nor matter to one of the Kindred.

~Birthday: Again, a meaningless and unimportant category for a vampiress.

~Blood type: A mortal blood type has no significance to one who has Vampiric blood coursing through their veins.

~Weapon: Nichollette has changed as the years passed, adapting to society as one must in order to conceal their true nature, and carries as her weapons, two handguns. She is forever clicking her nails against the pearled handles. They are more for show than anything else, since most are too wise to make any kind of threat against her, though on rare occasion, when she must use them, her deadly accurate skill leaves the ignorant fool beyond the point at which regretting their mistake could have been an option. She dislikes so very much to kill, so be a wise one and chose not to be shown how good at it she is. A well armed vampire, understandably being quite a formidable foe.

~Species: Oh so many ways to word it... chylde of Cain, creature of darkness, night and sin, animated corpse, a Kindred, member of the blood... the list goes on, though vampiress, and all that it entails is more than adequate in describing her. She hails from the clan of Toreador, the members of which are generally elegant, brilliant, visionary, and above all, passionate. A Toreador’s zeal for unlife will reveal itself in everything she does. Toreador are also the most intimately of all Kindred to be associated with the mortal realm and society, and most likely to fall in love with a mortal. They enjoy surrounding themselves with the best and most luxurious of everything, including people. Many are artistic in nature, and consider it their calling to captivate, scintillate, and inspire. Nichollette included, of course. Be sure to check the link to the information more in depth on the Toreador clan, some of which this has been taken from.

~Attire: The old look:

Toreador are the most fashion conscious of all Kindred, so fittingly, Nich adorns herself with an elegent Versace gown, in the hue she most prefers above all others, black. It flows to her ankles, and has neither sleeves nor back. Slits run up either side to her mid thigh, giving view to powerful toned palid legs beneath. Dainty spaghetti straps run up past delicate collarbone and over narrow shoulders, holding the lush fabric to caress gently over her curves of pale undead flesh. Accentuating every inch of her, it would seem Nichollette and her Versace were a match made in heaven. ::Gags at the distasteful pun:: XD!! Her shoes are tasteful and less than practical, slave to fashion that she finds herself almost without option to consciously choose to be. Opened toed black heels, they show dainty toes peticured in what other shade than black. She wears no jewelry, her mein one of simplistic elegance.

The new look: This is taken from an RP.

"DarkViciousVamp: ::Nichollette had scarcely settled her eyes onto the first page of an age old volume of vampiric customs when the need had suddenly been instilled in her to pay an unexpected visit to her beloved. And so down the book had been cast, as if the priceless tome had been worth next to nothing to the vampiress, and she had made her way to a back room of the cathedral, flipping through items hanging in a closet and scowling as each one failed to suit her fancy at that moment. Finally her pupil less depths of bloody hue rested on something perfect..she would have nothing short of it after all. Quickly shedding the usual sable Versace and smirking at it landed with an almost inaudible fluff about her feet, she donned the new item, which she had forgotten was even in that closet.. having acquired it some ago but not having found any reason to wear it for a time, until now. A different looking Nich deposited herself on the front steps of Jacen's place of residence, and she stood, clad in a long, heavy looking gown, made up of two parts, the interior looked almost to be a slip of sorts, very thin and neatly form fitting about her symmetrical curves, deep burgundy in color. Over that lied what looked to be very fine mesh of uncannily bright silver mail, a matching burgundy ribbon weaving it's way across her collar bones through the metal, and a twin ribbon of silk lacing through it about her ankles. A third ribbon was woven into her French braid. This was a new look but she rather liked it, and had been aching for a change. A neat black choker, made of an inch wide strip of onyx velvet was clinging to her pallid neck..."

~Hobbies: Any and all of Nichollette’s free time possible is passed with her love, Jacen Silvermoon, on whom her every affection is spent. They hold each other in complete rapture; when together, no one and nothing else either exists or matters. When I manage to get some Nich and Jace logs posted, then you will have a small glimpse and faint comprehension of the incredible bond that these two share.

~Personality: Ever charming, cultured and refined, Nichollette’s mannerisms define her being. She carefully guards her temper, and at rare times when she is pushed to anger, she remains calm and collected, her voice never raising, remaining endlessly soothing, dulcet, hypnotic. Succuming to rage, stooping to vulgarities, and childishly bickering over trivial matters are all things she considers to be signs of improper upbringing, as well as abjectly immature and distasteful. She thinks too highly of herself to act in such a manner. Nich makes it a point to allow her vampirism to pervade her persona, past the point at which she cares to hide it and pose as a mortal. In the “pre-Jacen” days, she clung whole heartedly to the ways and customs of the undead, and now, though she still embraces her heritage, she is less rigid in the obeying of the laws that govern the Kindred, and has become a trifle softer, gentler, almost more humane as a result of her relationship with Jacen. She cares much less about problems this causes her with her superiors and more about the bliss and happiness that she has found at long last. She has a gently teasing and playful side that only emerges to take over the nonchalance and detatched mood she usually shows, when in the company of her love.

~Abilities: To get a look at this, you need to read the Sire section of my Vampire Rankings, on the Rules page which is Here

~History: The easiest way to explain Nich's background was to post the story of how she was turned and that in and of itself is long enough to be a whole new page so that's what I made it into. Here's the link Nich's Embrace

~Theme Song: Nich is so lucky as to have two themes. The first, comes from Castlevania, Requiem of the Gods. For those of you who either haven’t heard it or can’t recall, it is a stirring, mournful piece, and somewhat dark as well. The other is from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Love Song for a Vampire. To check out the lyrics (which hit you like a ton of bricks!!) just keep reading.

"Come into these arms again, and lay your body down.
The rhythm of this trembling heart is beating like a drum.
It beats for you, it bleeds for you. It knows not how it sounds.
For it is the drommel of drums, it is the song of songs.

Once I had the rarest rose, that ever deemed to bloom.
Cruel winter chilled the bud, and stole my flower too soon.
Onimence of hopelessness to search the ends of time,
for there is in all the world, no greater love than mine.

Let me be the only one to keep you from the cold.
Now the floor of heaven's laid, with strands of brightest hope.
They shine for you, they shine for you. They burn for all to see.
Come into these arms again, and set this spirit free..."

~Family/Friends: There are no family, and very few friends in Nichollette's world. First and foremost on the list is Jacen, her fiancee. Aside from him there the Nightshades, Darrian and Tiphareth, as well as little Damian. Nich is his aunt in all practicality, though not literally. She is the unofficial Damian baby sitter anyway. Aside from them.. there really isn't anyone else to mention. Nich basically keeps to herself.

~Last Notes: I guess this is going to turn into an editorial or something on the subject of RP Vampires. I have my own, very strong opinions about them, which some of you may have noticed. First of all, there are by far too many people trying to Role Play vampires around AIM these days, as it was in past days as well. It has been this way ever since I was a newbie, and probably always was even before I was here, and will be forever after, even after I leave. But with all this in mind, I still RP them. And I justify it for the sole reason that how I play my vampire sets me apart from all those others. I did not create the character for the sole purposes of being able to suck people's blood, and transform into bats, and show off my fangs. All of those newbie RP vampire cliches quite honestly, make my stomach turn. Rather, I went to such lengths to define her and create a believable history for her and spent such a great amount of time in the process of it all because I saw the need for there to be a valid and plausible vampire played. Now, there are a very few other people who do play vampires decently, and them I commend. As for the rest, you have my pity.
