| New Sesamstraat CD (-audiobook) may 22 At last.. If it was because the Petition I dont know, but there will be new Sesamstraat Songs on cd. It's a audiobook carrying the titel: Mijn pappa is geweldig (My daddy is great). On this cd there will be at least 70 new songs written by Hennie Vrienten. A formar singer from the band: Doe Maar and teen idol from the 80's. He became the main song writer for Sesamstraat after Harry Bannink died in 1999. This cd is almost the first one to appear without any dubbed original Sesame Street material. Its only Dutch work written specially for this show. The final release date is not known for so far.... So for now we hope you'll sign our petition to get new ''Sesamstraat'' CD's. Even if you live elswere. |
| Rik Hoogendoorn is leaving Sesamstraat after a big discussion June 29 Rik Hoogendoorn summoned the NPS to get a proper severance package. He is no longer welcome at the NPS, according to the actor. NPS holds all comment on this question. At negotiations about a good setlement, both parties couldn't come to a agreement. Thats, according his spokesman, why Hoogendoorn will go to court on friday. He wasn't to glad abbout the proposal that all actors give up their income on re-runs on the show. With these negotiations both parties came to an agreement; In the new contract the NPS is allowed to air the unpaid re-runs until september 2008. Within a month after signing this compromize, Rik was suddenly no longer welcome, said his spokesman. According the NPS both cases have nothing to do with eachother. Also he was the host of Sinterklaas' television arrival every year. This means we'll see a new host this year on december 5th? (c) Novum |
| Sesamstraat moves to Madurodam August 30 Den Haag- Bert, Ernie and all the others from the Dutch coproduction off Sesame Street are moving next year to Madurodam. The miniature town announced thursday with great proud that they'll have a new street in their park: the "Sesamtraat"! The smallest town of the Netherlands shall organize the exposition: Sesamstraat & Madurodam. From march 14th untill october 26th the children can meet the cast of this tv-show in miniature. They can count at count von count's place, listen to stories at Hollands largest bed and get a picture taken with a lifesize Bert, Ernie or Elmo. (ANP) |
| Also a Big Bird version will be present at the show. As the old series his name will be Garibaldo. But this time both the puppets were made by Sesame Workshop. A nice thing to know is: the Big Bird puppet was formaly used for Da Niau, the chinese version of Big Bird. Their show ended in 2001. The first episode of the new version of Vila Sesamo will start the end of october. And the old Garibaldo will introduce the new Garibaldo. So for all you fans... be sure to check Youtube in time! |
