Fellini
This is FELLINI. She was trapped by Kodiak Animal Control and brought to the animal shelter in May 1999 when she was about four months old. Fellini was an untamed, or feral kitten. She was not a friendly, adoptable animal and faced euthanasia. I took Fellini as my "special project," and was able to tame her over a period of two months. She is  now my sweetest little one, a real joy in my daily life.

Some feral cats are able to become friendly, loving pets just like any normal house cat. Others never progress beyond lives as "shadow cats," who learn to live in a house with people, but never develop the trust necessary to be considered real pets. Fellini, as is the case with many ferals, was able to develop a relationship with only one human. Though she is my constant companion, Fellini views everyone else with great suspicion, including the other people who share the house she has lived in since July 1999.

Feral cats are special kitties with special needs. But in my experience, the rewards of taming a feral cat are immense.
Fellini's page is still under construction.

Fellini's issues are the feral kitten/cat and weight control.
