Summary

Logan pops a wheelie on a dirt bike and lands by the new recruits. Rogue being Kitty's partner, they start heading up the canyon. Rogue leaves Kitty, but tells her to meet her at the top. Rogue ahead of Kitty, Rogue causes a few rocks to block Kitty's path. Kitty tried to avoid it but falls down crashing her bike, phases through the mountain and grabs on to the edge of a cliff. She tries to hold tight, but it crumbles and she falls unconscious. The cliff above starts to crumble and falls down on her. A girl, looks like a Native American, comes and rescues her before it crumbles on her.

Kitty thanks her for saving her life and she introduces herself. The Native American is named Danielle and exclaims that she's a mutant. Kitty is ashamed, but then Danielle tells her she is too. Logan comes by and asks if Kitty's all right. Kitty says yes and introduces Danielle to them. Rogue pulls up and asks if she's okay, but Logan barges in and blames it on her for living her. Rogue feels distraught.

Back at the mansion Kitty peeps in where Xavier is talking to Danielle. Rogue comes by and apoligizes for what she did. Kitty dismisses it and Xavier tells everyone to meet them in the community room. Logan walks into the front door where Sam rubs it in about their race. Sam then subtley manipulates Logan about the rematch, losers wash the bikes.

In the community room, Xavier exclaims that Danielle Moonstar is the new recruit. Everyone cheers and Kitty immeidately tells her they can share a room. Logan is a bit weary and asks Xavier what's her powers. Xavier tells him that she has a form of telepathy, but with a troubled past. Logan grimaces.

The first mission for the new recruits is getting to point B from point A by a raft, but with obstacles in the way. Sunspot gets energy from the sun and pushes it off, but Kitty traps him leaving him behind. Cannonball tries to shoot it across, but Kurt pops in and teleports him out. Iceman tries to bridge them over but lightning crumbles the ice-bridge. They both fall in and encourage Danielle to swim to point B, but Danielle panicks.

Jean stops encouraging and suddenly flies up in the sky. Kurt teleports into his dimension with hungry-eyed dragons looking at him. And Kitty continously phases through the ground. They all gasp and realize it's all a dream.

Asleep, Danielle brings Ororo's fear of claustrophobia, Logan's Weapon X tank, and Xavier's fear of sentinels destroying him. Xavier gets mad and tells Kitty to meet her downstairs. Downstairs Logan and Ororo are shaken from the images. Xavier asks her where Moonstar was. She said she was asleep the whole time. Xavier nods uncertainly and tells her to go back to bed.
Kitty watches Moonstar for a second and falls asleep, but when she wakes up Moonstar's stuff is gone. Kitty goes into the kitchen and yells asking where she went. Xavier tells her that they don't know a Danielle. Kitty gasps.

Kitty marches in the room with her cell phone trying to get information. They don't know anything and Kitty sighs. Xavier comes in and tells her she needs to rest and it was all just a dream. Kitty sighs and goes to bed.
Kitty dreams of the mansion dripping with water before she wakes up. Kitty wakes up and gets a call from Danielle asking her for help. Kurt is in the kitchen making a hotdog (looks French) when Kitty barges in and asks where Danielle was. He didn't know, so Kitty talks into Kurt teleporting to her town. Kurt reluctantly does.

It's the rematch and Logan and Sam are going to race, but with obstacles in the way. Berzerker causes an electric current in the river, Sunspot pushes a boulder, and Magma causes lava to come down. However, Logan evades them all.
In the town Danielle apparently lives. Kitty hears a phone call. She answers it and it's Danielle. She tells Kitty to hurry up before it's too late. Kitty hangs up and Kurt asks if she's okay since the phone cord has been disconnected. Kitty ignores it and looks through the phone book where her grandfather, Black Eagle, lives. Maggie Blue Rd.


Arriving at her house, the grandfather is rocking back and forth on the chair. Kitty asks where she is and he says she isn't at home she's gone to the canyon. Kurt asks how long ago was it, and he replies two years ago.Almost at the finish line, Cannonball shows off and cannonballs himself to the finish line, although he screws up and lands on his face. Logan wins the race.

Kurt and Kitty are at the spot Kitty had her accident and Kitty tells Kurt to get help while she looks for her. Kurt teleports back where Logan and Sam were and tells them that Kitty is in trouble, they all leave for the spot. Kitty phases down the canyon for a long time until she arrives at the bottom where a blue aura is around Danielle. Kitty comes and gets her but can't phase her out because she's too weak. Kurt and Logan are above and decided that they need to get through the water. Iceman freezes a whirlpool and Magma burns a hole down. Kurt enters the hole and sees Kitty and Danielle and teleports them out in saftey.

Danielle is in the institutes infirmary where Kitty and Danielle exchange their experiences. Xavier then explains to Logan that her powers caused her to go in hibernation mode. And that they connected through out-of-body experience. Kitty and Danielle continue to talk in the infirmary, however Danielle doesn't join the X-Men.
