Wanda had to spend most of her childhood locked up in an institute because
she couldn't control her powers. Her own father put her there. This made her
become very revengeful of Magneto and Quicksilver. Mystique, seeing an
opportunity to get revenge on Magneto, took Wanda off the institute and
re-joined the Brotherhood.
Taught by Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch, Wanda started gaining control
of her anger and channelling it through her powers. It came very in handy
when she defeated the X-men.
