Recently, her telepathy found Kitty Pryde and they formed a connection, where Danielle projected herself into Kitty's senses as a physical being. When the link was broken, Kitty began searching for her friend, and thus Danielle was finally rescued by the X-Men. It is unknown yet if she will remain with them or will return home with her grandfather Black Eagle.

Moonstar is a mutant who has the psionic ability to create incredibly realistic mental images of the greatest fears a person may have, as well as a number of other minor telepathic powers. She seems to focus more on the subconscious mind than the conscious one, like most other telepaths.
