Langley Park was originally a medieval deer park, and is now owned by Buckinghamshire County Council and run as a country park. The two parks were originally part of the same manorial estate and are located adjacent to one another, not too far from the Grand Union Canal. Both are also very close to the famous Pinewood Studios, and Black Park has been used in a number of films, including four from the Carry On series and Bugsy Malone. It was also the location for Hagrid's cottage in the first two Harry Potter films, and for one of the outdoor 'dragon' scenes in the fourth film.
