- 1992 Common block
- Bore: +1mm (+.060)
- Sleeved all 4 cylinders by previous engine rebuilding company
- Non-turbo block: no stock drainback for the turbo, Coolant drainback in block was plugged since was N/A
Modifications:
- Plugged all factory oil drainbacks from head (NPT tapped in plugs)
- Plugged factory oil feed to head (NPT tapped in plugs)
- Drilled/Tapped two (2) 1/2" NPT holes on back of block
- Drilled/Tapped one (1) 1/4" NPT hole on back of block
- Replaced factory oil gallery plugs with Tapped in NPT plugs
- Removed Balance Shafts
- Plugged oil feed to Balance Shafts with Transmission Check Ball (+.100 larger than hole)
- Removed plug in back of block for Coolant drainback from Turbo
**Pictures are scarce of the bare block while the machining was going on unfortunately, but email me any questions about the mods and I can tell you in detail about them or there are some pictures on my "The Head" page that show the drainbacks atleast.
