BODYMAP BOY  GEORGE  MODELLING

The Star of the show in many people's eyes was Boy George ( as the BodyMap dresser Fat Tony said "The fat queen won't wear anything.  He's slinging clothes all over a place because nothing will fit him !! ),  parading his shorn locks and muscular build  in front of the L-plate liggers and flasbulbs ( who incidentally could come up with an entire new clothes collections having spent three weeks hanging around the airports for pictures....instead they go for the famous hands across the sunglasss )  George was big,  George was glam and George was....George. Then finally George O'Dowd and Lizzy Tear came cruising down the catwalk and everthing fell into place.  A pop star ( one of the pop stars ), a model ( one of the faces of the year )  careering elegantly down towards the front of the stage.  Pop and fashion hand in hand  and waiting to be eaten.                                                                                                                               i-D mag  -  December/January 1986
