Mark Moore s'xpress

I met mark moore at the shoom club in london, after reading in the nme that anyone could join his band. i spent half an hour circling him and finally dashing up to him telling him that i was a singer and if he needed one......etc etc. he kindly took my number and 6 months later the phone rang in the notorious new cross gate housing co-op. he needed a singer and could i come for an audition? the engineer got on my nerves i remember. he was telling me he had worked with stock aitken and waterfalls and if i couldn't hear myself in the headphones that wasn't his fault. yeah right! mark was sweet and i must have made an impression. i ended up on the album and most notably on 'hey music lover'.i fondly remember many insane trips to munich, milan and (yes!) smurf land in luxemburg. munich was full of fat meat eating germans not dancing to our music. i wore a totally see-through dress and refused to mime properly to the song. another german gig (munich again) had me woken up in my hotel room by sandie shaw screaming: how can you be in this group. they are making so much noise and i demand to be given another room. milan i can't remember. smurf land was the ticket! it poured with rain and we were flown home before the performance - but not before we had insulted plenty of smurfs along the way. schtrumpf land it's called. come to think of it: I WANT TO BE IN S XPRESS AGAIN.
