As I lay in the piano
Quiet as can be
I hear their heavy footsteps
And hope they're not coming for me
I let out a long, slow breath
As I hear them climb the stairs
I know my time is growing short
But am I the only one who cares?
I hear them walking above me
Trying to search me out
They know that I am here now
I had been heard moving about
So many people have already been killed
Mostly those showing defiance and pride
I don't want to be added to the victim's list
But who am I to decide?
They're starting to leave the second floor now
After finding nothing upstairs
They start to search the bottom floor
And I begin to get scared
They shout in their German tongue
Telling of who they have found
They have finally discovered my mother, father and sister
I heard three shots then thumps on the ground
Suddenly my blood runs cold
As I hear one of them shout
They know I'm in the piano now
They had finally sought me out
My five years on Earth are finally through
As a gestapo holds his gun tight
Raising and shooting at point blank range
And all at once I see a light.

Hi. For a long time now, I have been bothered by the Holocaust and it's effects on people's lives. I thought that I would put a page up to remember all of the people who died during the Holocaust. Some people say that it didn't happen. Others say that it did. After all, how can you fake pictures of mass graves and people huddled together in airtight rooms waiting to die from the poisonous gas being released from the shower heads? I think everyone should know about the horrors that went on behind barbed wire fences and prison walls. Because of the nature and explicity of some of the photos, it will be a while before I get some pictures up because I have to find pictures that are safe for everyone. Below are two links you can follow. Both will lead you into a report I wrote in 8th grade about Concentration Camps During the Holocaust. The only difference between the two links is that the first link will lead you to an outline of my report first and the second link leads you right into the report itself, skipping the outline all together. If you want an EXCELLENT Holocaust movie, then I recommend you see Schindler's List directed by Steven Spieldberg. It is rated R and it is very explicit, but at the same time, it makes you feel the pain that the victims felt. Well, from here, it's up to you:
