TRIBUTE
TO
"ALAN JACKSON"
|
Hi there....
My name is Shirley, and this is My Tribute
To Alan Jackson.
My friend, Debbie, and I had the pleasure of seeing
Alan perform at The New York State Fair in 1997.
What an honor that was.....!
I am from Northern Ontario, Canada.
I came across an article in our local paper
advertising Alan Jackson, and LeeAnn Rhimes,
performing in N.Y. After, calling my best friend
we decided we would go.....It took us a very long
total of 22 hours on a bus, plus, 5 hours of sitting
in the pouring rain....But, Man! Was he worth
every minute of it. They sure don't make men like
that where I come from!
*smile*
We arrived at the Fair Grounds, and had 15 minutes to
get to our seats....and in the "pouring" rain. Luckily, we
bought rain coats when we entered the fair grounds.
ALAN came out on the stage, singing "Don't Rock the Jukebox"
Well, by then, the whole place was rocking! Wow! He had
on Blue jeans, a white T-Shirt, a Cowboy hat, and "RED"
Cowboy Boots. Humn! "OH BOY" Was All I could say.... haha....
No one cared about the rain....I looked at my
friend, and she had rain drops running off her nose....People
were soaked to the bone, but what the heck .
I have very fond memories of that night.
Alan Jackson is "one of the best".... He is a
EXCELLENT entertainer, as well, as a VERY
TALENTED Singer!
I tip my hat to you, Alan Jackson. You have
brought so much, to people, with your music.
It makes me smile, and want to hear more!
I would like to hear similiar stories of meeting
up with your favorite...so please drop me a line
or two.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my

He's definately a "COUNTRY LEGEND!"
