Before the IV and V Bakugaiden anime shows were created, the original adventures were produced as manga in series [comic books].
The only manga I know of that was the first one in the series is the one based on BOMBERMAN, however the characters in it looked just like the ones in BAKUGAIDEN except they were Bomberman and not B-Damans.
The only 'Bakugaiden' characters that are in the 'Bomberman' manga are Shiro Bom, Ao Bom [whose yellow in the Bomberman manga], Aka Bom, and Kuro Bom. The other manga series was based on BB-Daman Bakugaiden. The anime was based on these manga stories.
In Bakugaiden IV anime, the first two episodes were based on Stage III of the B-Daman Bakugaiden development, which was a manga series [There are 5 Stages to the development of Bakugaiden, and Stage III is that manga series]. Sorry it sounds confusing, but quite difficult to explain. Anyway, the first two episodes in the IV anime is like a review of the Bakugaiden [Stage 3] manga.
Aside from Stage 3 of the manga, the other manga series is supposedly based from the anime of IV and V as another manga series.
