The famed pyramids of Giza are located on the west bank of the river Nile. These three pyramids are the largest and the most well constructed. These are the ones open to the tourists these days. Khufu's pyramid, known as the Great Pyramid contains more than 2 million stone blocks averaging over 2 tons in weight. No one knows how long it took to build the Great Pyramid or the others. However, it was a massive engineering feat that required thousands of workers........... |
