The city of Elgin had decided not to hold the Chicago Soap Box Derby race in Elgin this year, 2006. Please call the city of Elgin at 847-931-5590 and the Elgin Parks and Recreation dept. at 847-931-6123 to make you voice heard. Let them know you want the race back in Elgin and that you would like to see the race run on a different date.
