| HaPpY NeW YeAr!!! If you've seen a Sigma around campus lately you may have noticed a spring in her step that wasn't there before. Well, that's because it's almost RUSH time again!! We are SO EXCITED to get to know some new girls and, with any luck, expand our sisterhood. You can also check out the RUSH event schedule here. Don't be shy! You are welcome to stop by the house any time to meet some of the girls. We look forward to getting to know you! We really kicked ass last semester! With our annual book sale we were able to raise $300.00 for a fellow college student, Shannon McKnight, who was involved in a car accident, which caused injuries and damage in excess of $20,000.00. We also were able to purchase ten Thanksgiving Baskets for local families with the proceeds from our annual Box Sit in front of Glen's Market. With the money we raised we were also able to sponsor a local family for Christmas, which was an incredibly rewarding experience for everyone. We also donated 800lbs of food to the Local Food Bank from our annual Halloween Can Drive. This semester we will continue to extend our services to the following organizations: The Chippewa County Animal Shelter, The Red Cross, Central Methodist Child Care Center, the E.U.P. Men's Homeless Shelter, the FIA, The American Cancer Society, the EUP Food Bank, and more?! Our Animal Shelter needs your HELP! Due to lack of funding they will most likely have to shut down. Please show your support by donating time or money to a very important cause. If you are a Sigma Alumnae and you are not recieving a newsletter, please contact us and let us know.
